Even with its few limitations, Omensight was love at first sight for me.
Despite being two years since its original release on PC, Death Road to Canada is still as brilliant as ever.
Despite its repetitive qualities, Saturday Morning RPG did keep me entertained for quite a few hours.
Doughlings: Arcade, at first glance, may seem like an outdated game from the early 2000s, but spend a bit of time with it and you'll soon see it's a fun, modern twist on a classic.
If you're the most casual of gamers, then you may find the difficulty level suitable, but anyone who's ever touched any kind of RPG before will undoubtedly find it too easy and not worth the ten or so hours of gameplay.
Tesla vs. Lovecraft is a wonderful and creative twin-stick shooter that manages to stand out from the crowd in what is something of an oversaturated genre. Despite the small reservation I have with the game's initial difficulty level, everything else — its art style, sountrack, gameplay and overall atmosphere — adds up to make a truly worthwhile experience. It might just be one of 10tons' best.
I highly recommend giving Hacker's Memory a try if you're a fan of the Digimon universe and enjoy a good visual novel with lots of role play elements.
There's no doubt that 8-Bit Adventure Anthology Volume 1 is a good addition to your library if you're a fan of classic point-and-click adventures, but if you're new to the titles, then get ready for some frustration. If you do decide, at your own risk, to pick them up I'd consider getting them on PC rather than on console to avoid controller-induced rage fits.
With its minimalist approach and tranquil ambience, SiNKR is sure to chill you out and leave you wanting more.
The atmosphere, the darkness, the eerie soundtrack, and the design of the monsters you encounter are what make Darkwood one of the most memorable survival horror games I've played in recent times.
I think my current 19 hours spent with Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 speaks for itself, but it is a really fun game.
If you're looking for a puzzle game to entertain you for a few hours then look no further: Archaica: The Path of Light is what you need. In the end, it won't matter that its story is a little hard to follow because you'll be too engrossed in its puzzles to care.
I, for one, can't wait to see where the series takes us next.
In the end, I was pretty disappointed with Nidhogg 2. After a few hours of playing I don't see myself going back to it any time soon. The weapon changes and graphic changes were enough to turn me off. Although the game can be fun to play for a few minutes at a time, all of the extra additions were just a little too much. I'll stick to playing the original, I think.
Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! has awesome gameplay, great character creation, a catchy, old fashioned soundtrack and a thriving world full of surprises to find.
Black the Fall definitely isn't for the casual gamer; it's crazy tough, but for someone looking for a fun challenge it's worth a try – or two, or three… since you'll be dying. A lot.
What really makes From the Gallows stand out as one of the better episodes this season is that in and among all the action and drama, there are some really touching moments of laughter and love.
Little Nightmares does a fantastic job of pulling off "childish horror". It strikes a good balance in introducing horror without ever being too scary; anyone who loves a little bit of the macabre without the intense dread of true terror will love this indie title.
Telltale has seriously upped the ante with more action and tougher decisions to make, and Thicker Than Water has definitely been my favourite of the series so far.
In a world where indie platformers are a dime a dozen, it's tough to stick out from the crowd but Blink definitely does.
