5.5 / 10.0 - Broken Roads
Apr 10, 2024

Broken Roads is what comes out of giving too much attention to cool ideas (moral compass, great dialogue and descriptions) and forgetting to make a game out of them. This is an RPG with glimmers of genius that are overshadowed by tons of unfinished elements.

The two most important features of TDU: Solar Crown, namely the driving and the open world, are very well done. And the flaws? They are very serious, without question. However, probably all the shortcomings can be eliminated with updates. Not in a week, not in a month, maybe not even in a year - but it can be done.

6 / 10.0 - Vampyr
Jun 5, 2018

Vampyre's issues lie deep within the core gameplay design. DONTNOD shouldn't have attempted making an RPG. Vampyr would have been much better off as a shorter, adventure or action-adventure production such as Remember Me. It's a great shame that this exquisite artistic vision and superb atmosphere were in the end squandered.

Unfortunately, Lost Records is not a good game, but it could be a great movie, if only it was edited differently, with shorter dialogue and without unnecessary sequences. This game tells a very emotional story, but I had a little fun actually playing it.

Seven: The Days Long Gone is a truly unique RPG. It's a comic book-stylized stealth isometric adventure in a techno-magical world. Seven can generate tons of fun but only until you encounter one of the many strange bugs and issues. You should wait for some serious patching and buy the game once it's done – it has a potential that deserves to be fully realized.

6.5 / 10.0 - We Happy Few
Aug 19, 2018

We Happy Few Has such a cool atmosphere, interesting world and clever story that is can easily be considered “an heir to BioShock”. In that case why did the developers opt to fill the game with tons of ludicrous content and made the player chase butterflies for dozens of hours? The world should be smaller, the gameplay better and the game shorter. A bit of a letdown.

7 / 10.0 - Far Cry 6
Oct 6, 2021

Whoever fell in love with Far Cry 5 (and especially New Dawn) will fall in love with Far Cry 6. The game offers more of the same – dozens of hours of pure run'n'gun fun in a giant open-world that will last for months. If you want to relax after a hard day, get the game. If you want anything more, stay away from it.

7.5 / 10.0 - EA Sports WRC
Nov 3, 2023

I’m afraid it will take at least several weeks until WRC achieves a state where we can call it fully playable. But even then, will it be worth 50 bucks? If you desperately need a new rally game and don’t require a full-fledged simulator, then the answer can be positive. The game has very rich content and a captivating gameplay loop so you can expect dozens of hours of fun. If you haven’t played all the available rally games, then I suggest trying them first.

7.5 / 10.0 - Ride 5
Aug 21, 2023

If you ask me whether RIDE 5 is worth buying or not, I’d say (as usual): it depends. If you played all previous games in the series, and still can’t get enough after the last installment, then the answer must be positive. It’s the RIDE you know and love, just more refined than the last time around.

Despite some issues (technical and gameplay-wise) Double Exposure is a very good story-driven adventure game that does justice to Max’s story. Unfortunately it looks kind of weak when compared to its great predecessor.

7.5 / 10.0 - High on Life
Dec 19, 2022

Humor is the most important thing about High on Life. It single-handedly decides about how you will feel about the game. If it works for you, everything should.

If you own an 8th or 9th generation console and haven’t had the opportunity to play any of the Mass Effect games, think no more – buying Legendary Edition is pretty much mandatory. It’s a terrific remaster. But if you prefer to play on a PC, you may hesitate with a purchase as the original trilogy is much, much cheaper.

Odyssey is no doubt the biggest game in the Assassin's Creed series, and could easily be considered the best one. Unfortunately the efforts to reshape an action game into an RPG were only partially successful. Ubisoft already checked off everything from a great atmosphere and a gigantic map to some cool gameplay mechanics, but narration and moral choices still do not deliver – Witcher 3 is still miles ahead.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Crew 2
Jul 2, 2018

The Crew 2 is a whisker away from being a great game. You can spend an entire afternoon just enjoying the cars and driving without a specific purpose, while taking in some of the marvelous views, and it feels really good. However, the major downsides – ubiquitous copy-pasting and a rather scanty number of genuine innovations – don't allow me to recommend this game to absolutely everyone; not just yet.

7.5 / 10.0 - ELEX
Oct 12, 2017

Elex is not an accessible game and doesn’t make a great first impression but it deserves more than one chance. Fans of Piranha Games should prepare themselves for more of what they love (but they must accept a strange fantasy & sci-fi mix). The final grade could have been higher if it weren't for too many technical issues.

8 / 10.0 - Indika
May 1, 2024

Indika is more than a game. It’s a fascinating, one-of-a-kind experience, playing with conventions and instilling disturbing thoughts in our heads. If only developers didn’t desperately try to avoid sticking a “walking sim” label to their work…

Nobody Wants to Die is yet anoher great narrative-driven game, similar to 2023’s The Invincible. And it is another proof that „walking simulators” shouldn’t be ignored – they are fit to tell great tales like no other genre. But remember – there is little gameplay here.

8 / 10.0 - God of War
Jan 12, 2022

If you always wanted to play God of War, but never owned a PS, this is the perfect moment to try this legend on PC. The port is solid, and technical shortcomings aren't serious enough to prevent you from having fun with this phenomenal slasher. If you know GoW from PS4, you probably want to ignore this release – there's nothing new compared to the original.

8 / 10.0 - It Takes Two
Mar 24, 2021

It Takes Two is a terrific game, albeit one that's hard to recommend without a certain mindset. 3D platformer enthusiasts sure won’t be disappointed. And if they look for unique ways to cooperate with other players, they've just found an excellent proposition. But the narration is a different beast; a much weaker one. It's definitely a step down copared to A Way Out.
