The gameplay doesn’t work, the story is nonsense (Even by Japanese standards) and the graphics are piss poor. It’s easily the worst game I’ve played on the PS4.
I feel like this could have been a good Lego game but it was cheapened by being a typical spin off game for a kids movie.
Overall the idea is really good – a fitness game based around football which has the physics of Rocket League… But it’s just not executed that well. A lot more needs to be put in the game as a whole before I can honestly say that it’s worth picking up. For £14.99, this is a game that’s definitely not worth your money. I think if there were patches to improve things and more game modes added in, it would be a much better game
At the end of the day this is an average game glorified with VR. If you see it on sale for a couple quid I’d say definitely pick it up but you’re not missing out by not playing this game.
As always it’s a mix of strategy and combat, this time with rpg elements thrown in, but for me it doesn’t really do any point that well. Once you’ve done one mission you’ve done them all. Travel here, defeat this guy and his army, take location, find some supplies. Rinse and repeat. Now there is fishing and hunting thrown in but the mechanics for these aren’t THAT good and won’t keep you entertained for hours Sometimes when you’re absolutely SURROUNDED by enemies the combat is pulled off well and can be really enjoyable but when enemies are sparse it’s not that exciting. Perhaps the clunky controls make it less enjoyable. I need a reasonable combat system when that’s all you’re doing when fighting (No magic or anything) and I couldn’t see myself wanting to use this system for hours. Overall it’s not awful, it just needs updating, a lot of updates. I think there are a lot of elements of a good game underneath but the final product here is a bit of a messy jumble and doesn’t have anything that makes me want to jump back in. Plus they’ve taken away the local coop which was always the best thing about these games.
I just got to a point where I didn’t want to invest any more time in this game and wanted to play something more exciting.
I honestly can’t decide if I enjoyed this game or not. It’s a fun fair/mini-game collection that develops into something weirdly political. I think Samurai Punk have a huge vendetta against the American ways and are using this game as a vehicle for that opinion. I found myself wondering why I’d actually played the entire thing and I won’t be going back through it. But then again, it was a unique experience with fun minigames and some interesting gameplay. I feel like there’s an incredible game under there, somewhere but it was muddled by gun politics and weird level settings, perhaps Samurai Punk need to set their mind to something else. It’s about 2.5 to 3 hours long which isn’t much for £25 (£20 if you’re on PlayStation Plus). Obviously there’s a degree of re-playability, the ending actually loops you directly back around to the beginning, but I can’t imagine you’ll play this over and over. This may be worth picking up in a sale In the future, but I wouldn’t say you need to rush to buy it.
I had never played a Demon Gaze game before and totally didn’t know what to expect when I put the game on; I didn’t even know that it’s essentially a 2D dungeon crawling JRPG focused around strategy fighting and turn based combat! I’ve come out of the game pleasantly surprised and it will definitely be something I’ll play to the end, mainly when I’ve got nothing else to play.
A fun, easy VR platformer. Great to have a less intense, non horror focused game on the VR.
I personally had no idea what Under night is, but after doing some research I understand that it's a visual novel as well as a 2D fighting game. Which has it's pros and cons…
It’s an easy to play game that you can almost have on in the background; you don’t need to be prepared for an epic play session or to use your brain too much to play this game… The story is very enjoyable without having to think too much about it and this has been a good game for me to put on for a few hours between each Kingdom Hearts session. I just wish it had an extra layer of polish and it would’ve sealed the deal for me.
It’s a really great monster capture game with fun combat and a lot of reason to grind and level up your Digimon. The story line is enjoyable enough and gives you a good reason to play the game through.
Overall the game plays fantastically, especially if you’re an attacking team like Madrid.
Origins feels more like an RPG set in the Egyptian times, which is as good as it sounds.
This is definitely a game everyone should try, especially if you’re a fan of beat ‘em ups.
There really isn’t a lot I can mark the game down for, it probably won’t get boring before the end, the gaming mechanics are great and the exploration and combat is a blast. Whilst it’s not going to win any awards for original game play or story telling it’s a game that has hours of fun to be had
There really isn’t a great deal I can put this game down for, i’m not sure how long it is but I’ve been playing for just under 4 hours and there seems to be a lot more to it. Plus there’s almost an endless feel to it as you can just keep playing the same rooms over and over to harvest stem cells and collect fab tokens to improve your build. It’s the first VR game since Resident Evil that’s made me want to keep coming back for more and has put a little more faith in virtual reality format, i can only hope for more of the same. This game is definitely worth the price tag and is a must for any PSVR user.
There’s not a tonne more that I can say as it is a short game, but it’s an awesome short game. All I’ll say is find a good mate, set aside a day and do it one sitting with a few beers. You’ll not have as much co-op fun this year as you will here.
I had a heap of fun with this game and it’s definitely my favourite in the series. I wasn’t bored for a second and cannot wait to go back to it some time; I felt I did rush it a little as I wanted to get to God of War, but I would have definitely spent more time on it had that not been the case. I wasn’t sure how I felt about the ending of the game, but I don’t want to spoil that. Trust me pick up this game, you won’t regret it.
Overall I think this is a must buy for any psvr owner and would be a fantastic game to showcase the fun you can have.
