80 / 100 - Toren
May 12, 2015

Toren has great style and a compelling story to tell. Though it's dragged down by its gameplay, it's still far more than worth the asking price for the experience it offers.

A depiction of things so cruel and of life so horrible that you couldn't imagine these things actually happening, even if you know they do.

Valkyria Chronicles was one of the strongest RPG's released in the 2000-2010 decade, regardless of platform or origin. This PC port doesn't offer many of the options PC gamers expect, but it preserves and respects that experience. The strong story and gameplay remains intact, despite some small hiccups.
