Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is an emotional bookend to a fantastic series. A few minor issues are overshadowed by a great story, fantastic game play, and a ton of side content. It's sad to see the main line games end but it gets a fitting ending.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a sequel that improves certain things but didn't add the necessary refinements to other parts that needed it. Despite that, the game is enjoyable and fans of the original will certainly feel at home.
Dragon's Crown Pro will be familiar to many but with a nice audiovisual upgrade it is a treat for returning adventurers and newcomers alike.
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is solid fighter that blends unique characters and opens the doors to a lot of possibilities.
Wulverblade's attempt to capture the past hold it back in some ways, But its excellent sense of mysticism, brutality, and craftsmanship overcomes most of its flaws.
If JRPGs with layered combat systems, a beautiful worlds, and the call of unique lore sounds up your alley, then give this game a whirl.
20XX is a fantastic game that oozes passion and is a strong tribute to the Mega Man X series. This is a must buy for a discounted title!
Mages of Mystralia is a charming game that tells a simple tale. Despite the length of the tale being somewhat short, the adventure in this beautiful world is well made with a nice art direction and a beautiful score that will carry you through a very pleasurable experience. Definitely give Mages of Mystralia a visit.
Darksiders Genesis tries its hand at something new once more and finds more successes than fails. Strife is another great character for the series. Genesis has excellent art direction, varied enemies with fun combat in either solo or co-op play. Do not lose the balance by missing this title!
The port to PC and current consoles have definitely breathed some new life into these two games. Very minor issues do not plague otherwise excellent ports!
Oniken has plenty of passion put into the game. The 80's action film styling are cool but the game design itself is sadly stuck in a time where gaming was still feeling itself out.
Despite its age showing a bit and some lacking story elements, Ys Memories of Celceta is a very enjoyable game that set the tone for the series moving forward.
Trails of Cold Steel IV doesn't make radical updates to the series' formula. The presentation stylings are all here for better or worse. The finale to this long-running story is easily worth your time.
While the majority of the formula isn't shaken up, the city of Balduq and its citizens have many sides to it. With an interesting story and a well laid out large city to explore Ys IX Monstrum Nox is another great adventure.
While this remastered collection has a couple of flaws, the games as a group are excellent. If you haven't given Ninja Gaiden a chance before and love a good challenge these games are for you. You are getting three games for the price of one!
The unique art style, excellent lighting, and mechanical world design are all great.
Very well made, well thought out JRPG. While there are a couple of small flaws and linear character upgrades, the overall experience is well crafted and the story and character dynamics are so much fun.
Shadow Warrior 3 is a bit of a mess. It has good points, with its humor and cool weapons. Yet it also feels like something that has been done better in other games. Still fun for its runtime though.
Anno: Mutationem is a fun game with a few flaws. The fantastic presentation, enjoyable combat and interesting but off paced adventure is worth your time.
While some elements of this entry are a bit dated, there is still a great story and a meaty amount of story to enjoy. If you can't access the original trilogy, this is an excellent way to start your immersion in the series.
