SpongeBob once again stars in a 3D platformer that rests its gameplay on well-established stylistic features, offering few surprises but still providing a fun and enjoyable experience.

First time in Europe for the Chinese-folklore inspired ARPG series, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever has a charming personality and world-building, but it fails in delivering a strong experience due to balance and optimization issues.

Sam "Serious" Stone is back in a new top-down shooter with roguelite elements that delivers a thin-like-paper crazy story and some entertaining (but repetitive) bite-sized gameplay elements.

7.1 / 10.0 - Space Junkies
Apr 3, 2019

A decent arena shooter, but the lack of PS Move support is somewhat inexplicable.

A cozy and mildly paced RPG. Bandle Tale enters the world of League of Legends from the farthest corner of Runeterra and offers "Stardew Valley-style" gameplay based on the use of bizarre machines, sewing skills, gardening and cooking talents. A simple but charming adventure, suitable for all ages and featuring delightful pixel-art.

A "Layton-esque" detective game in which Pikachu is obviously the undisputed star. Light and somewhat repetitive gameplay make it suitable for a fairly young or inexperienced audience in this genre of titles. Those looking for a deeper, more complex and challenging experience should look elsewhere.

Invader Studios has packaged a survival horror experience with a good atmosphere and decent pace, adding small but interesting new features and significantly improving the technical compartment. A sequel that represents a good step forward but still has a long way to go to walk side by side with the best exponents of the genre.

7.3 / 10.0 - Hammerwatch II
Aug 18, 2023

A dungeon crawler that delves a little deeper into the "ruolistic" elements of the first Hammerwatch while still remaining too much on the surface and offering no particular creative flourishes. If you plan to play it alone be prepared for a fair amount of repetitiveness, but if you have a few friends on hand the fun rate is bound to go up quite a bit.

7.4 / 10.0 - REPLIKATOR
Jun 3, 2023

Yet another top-view roguelite action-shooter with a sci-fi theme, a genre enjoyed by a large audience who will find in Replikator everything they have loved in dozens of similar games. Originality is not its strong suit, but variety is not lacking and three levels of difficulty make it suitable for a very wide audience. If you can turn a blind eye to a less-than-stellar aesthetic compartment (but the soundtrack deserves applause), we assure you that you will have fun.

Spiritual successor of the good old Rampage, Terror of Hemasaurus delivers a funny (but short) experience of total arcade carnage and destruction, with a charming pixel-art and hilarious story

SaGa Frontier Remastered is a 25 years old role-playing game that was never released in Europe. While this remastered doesn't do much in terms of graphics, it adds a fair amount of content that will certainly make it intriguing for returning players. Novices, on the other hand, might have a harder time adapting to some of its more dated mechanics.

Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise recreates the feeling of fighting and the charisma of the characters of Hokuto no Ken quite faithfully. The authors have conceded some creative freedom compared to the original material and this could annoy the fans, but the game developed by the authors of Yakuza manages to entertain the players despite the many flaws.

7.5 / 10.0 - Harold Halibut
Apr 15, 2024

A VERY special adventure, both in aesthetic and narrative terms. The story starts slowly and with very few explanations, but as the game progresses it becomes more and more interesting and does not disdain to touch important chords. The mechanics are the classic ones of a graphic adventure but the gameplay has a few too many angularities due to a bit of "dirt" in the code. Finally, the total lack of localization in Italian could be a significant obstacle given that the tone of the dialogues is well above the classic school English.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rise of the Ronin
Mar 21, 2024

Rise of the Ronin is a samurai amusement park, an open-world adventure with an excellent combat system, in which the abundance of activities might distract you from a compelling and well-told storyline. It is closer to an Assassin's Creed than a souls-like or any of Team Ninja's earlier games and could have been even better if from a technical standpoint it had been less problematic.

A new League of Legends spin-off that tells a story of friendship through well-established gameplay but lacking any particular creative flourishes. The most "Disney-esque" of Riot Forge's products to date, it is a game unsuited to discerning palates or experienced players, but it can become an excellent pastime for younger audiences or for those who crave something well-told but undemanding.

The Mageseeker is an enjoyable ARPG with some interesting insights. Unfortunately, a mission design not up to the standards and some technical issues prevent it from aspiring to the Olympus of the genre.

This third entry in the survival horror series developed by Nippon Ichi doesn't add so much to the original formula, but it feels more mature and brings more content to the "explore, hide and resolve" side.

Despite the fact that it cointains three great games, Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection feels a bit rushed, and has quite a few technical weaknesses. Also, while the trilogy is still fascinating in its own right, the comparison with the latest entries in the Assassin's Creed series shows just how much Ubisoft has refined the formula since then, especially when it comes to the combat.

Nier Replicant Ver. 1.22474487139 is not a remake but neither a simple remastered. It's an enhanced version that fixes some of the original game's issues and delivers a bunch of new content, but does nothing to refresh its dated approach to world and quest design.
