Critic Reviews for Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story
Bandle Tale is a solid crafting RPG with some really interesting ideas, although it doesn't always execute these ideas as well as it feels like it could have. An expansive crafting system, stunning art style, and hilarious writing all work in Bandle Tale's favor, but the gameplay can sometimes come off as overly frustrating and tedious. As the (unintentionally) final entry in the Riot Forge project, Bandle Tale serves as a decent capstone to a really great idea, and we'd recommend it to anyone out there looking for a chill and immersive new life sim to add to their collection.
Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is a great-looking game, but the loop of crafting and unlocking skills is where it's at its finest.
The world of Runeterra is a universe that is often defined by war and conflict. Bandle Tale moves away from this and what has been done in other Riot Forge games so that we can relax with the yordles and plan parties that help us re-establish the bonds of community with the power of friendship. A little music, some food and all problems are solved.

Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story provides an intriguing peek into the world of Yordles, Runeterra's most endearing race. In this latest offering from Riot Forge, developed in collaboration with Lazy Bear Games, we're treated to a straightforward yet engaging storyline. However, the gameplay leaves me somewhat torn. Is it a tad monotonous, or am I simply missing its charm? Despite its shortcomings—like mundane fetch quests and tedious walks—the game's vibrant world and charming characters manage to salvage the experience.

A cozy and mildly paced RPG. Bandle Tale enters the world of League of Legends from the farthest corner of Runeterra and offers "Stardew Valley-style" gameplay based on the use of bizarre machines, sewing skills, gardening and cooking talents. A simple but charming adventure, suitable for all ages and featuring delightful pixel-art.

The world is full of beautiful locales, and seeing beloved characters like Teemo and Rumble not only brought to life but made incredibly entertaining is a lot of fun. With a lower price and a slew of content, the title is a delightful new way for fans to delve into the world, and contains hallmark mechanics that make it worth a look for cozy players even if they aren't familiar with LoL. Despite its lulls and occasional overcomplications, Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is an adorable, imaginative take on an established universe that has a lot to offer.
Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is a much more ambitious game than most crafting RPGs. It’s accessible to most patient gamers, too, whether they’ve played League or not. The crafting elements are good, if occasionally opaque. Unfortunately, the game’s unvaried tone and extended length padded out by some dull quests takes away some of the fun.
It's indifference that takes me out of Bandle Tale. I couldn't get into the world building, I couldn't get behind the constant back and forth running that quests have me doing. I never felt like I found my stride. The mini games - especially the cooking - was fun, something that would be excellent to play with a friend. But this single player crafting sim is too cute for its own good. Unlocking new abilities was fun, but the new abilities never felt game-changing, just another new chore to add to the rotation. If you are into League of Legends and want something that feels like a celebration of the cute characters of that game, Bandle Tale might satisfy you in the short term. But as the game spans upwards of 40 hours, I struggled to maintain interest.
