Gear.Club Unlimited 2 Ultimate Edition has a good Career mode, with plenty of races and events and a little bit of story, but it is far from enough to rescue its incredibly sub-par gameplay, to the point that it is uncapable of conveying any emotion. And the game doesn't fare much better graphically, with poor textures and unstable frame rates. A pity, given the resume of the developer.

Deadly Premonition 2 is not Swery's gaming maturity, but it is perhaps his consecration as a screenwriter, storyteller of the bizarre, creator of unforgettable characters. His ambition, however, clashes with the limited budget and, probably, with Toybox's modest ability to create gamplay. But these are works that must be left to rest, metabolized and then perhaps rediscovered, like a nice b-movie, ready to become one of our favorites when the time is right.

6.7 / 10.0 - No More Heroes 3
Aug 27, 2021

Removing everything that does not work and that is there to do "longevity", we would have had 5 sensational hours of pure videogame exploitation that we would have been ready to glorify as a cult. But the reality is that Suda51's new work for Nintendo Switch is the shadow of the No More Heroes that was, where brilliant ideas, follies, memorable moments and the same brutal combat system are watered down in a mediocre and rhythmless techno-playful context.

Little Friends: Dogs & Cats is a bit of a wasted opportunity. Too few content, too little gameplay, for a game that could have become the new Nintendogs.

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the edge 2 does not know whether to be a simulation or an arcade, becoming an enjoyable, exciting and fast racing without being as memorable as the race it is inspired by.

Monster Truck Championship finally does justice to the crazy world of monster trucks with a good title, genuine and fun, absolutely standard in the structure but made unique by a control system and physics designed ad hoc, not always perfect but tasty for racing fans looking for different sensations.

7 / 10.0 - V-Rally 4
Sep 12, 2018

Track design, off-road arcade driving and nice scenarios make V-Rally 4 a game worth trying; unfortunately, ansphalt races, career and Buggy/Rally Cross are much less enjoyable.

7.1 / 10.0 - AO Tennis 2
Jan 9, 2020

Tennis feeling, the physical feedback of the shots, the animations, everything is in place but the responsiveness that allows to move with more agility on the field is still missing. AO Tennis 2 remains a little rough, but its talent is crystal clear.

7.1 / 10.0 - My Friend Pedro
Jul 1, 2019

My Friend Pedro is a sequence of short, intense levels which morally oblige the exasperated spectacle, exciting like few other run 'n' guns. Then There is a whole outline of apathetic environmental puzzles, bizarre situations and an aesthetic between the chilling and the anonymous.

7.3 / 10.0 - WRC 8
Sep 9, 2019

WRC 8 has to deal with too many compromises, and it comes out smaller than its potential. It is neither insufficient nor broken but seems to evolve too slowly, without clear objectives.

7.5 / 10.0 - World's End Club
May 27, 2021

World's End Club is the carefree in the midst of disaster, the light at the end of the tunnel, a journey in the company of friends to whom it is impossible not to get attached. An intriguing visual novel that plays with parallel dimensions, leading to more endings and curious "what if..." that will slowly reveal the mystery hidden under the skies of Japan.

Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection decides to venture into safe, impervious but known terrain, bringing the saga to 2021, renewing it in aesthetics but not in its dogmatic gameplay.

Destruction AllStars is, above all, fun and enjoyable mayhem, supported by a very polished technical aspect and an undeniably cool stylistical approach. The choice to launch it as part of the Plus Collection will certainly give it a huge boost in terms of playerbase – certainly more than its 80,99€ launch price would have attracted otherwise – but, as usual, these kinds of games are a matter of endurance. And for how long Destruction AllStars manages to keep its audience engaged remains to be seen.

7.5 / 10.0 - MXGP 2020
Jan 14, 2021

MXGP 2020 is not a particular show of effort, and the consequence of this are noticeable on platforms that are not the PlayStation 5. On the new Sony flagship, however, a (rather primitive, admittedly) use of the DualSense is more than enough, and does a lot of work when it comes to feeling the bike in your hands. As for the rest, there are noticeable, but also not particularly impressive improvements on the (already good) MXGP 2019 experience. But let's be honest, what we're waiting for from Milestone is a true next gen game.

7.5 / 10.0 - Overpass
Feb 26, 2020

OVERPASS is a technical, adventurous off-road, where the skill lies more in knowing the terrain than in sinking on the accelerator. One of a kind, dirty and fun, albeit with some technical burrs.

7.9 / 10.0 - Night Call
Jul 20, 2019

Night Call is thriller on the importance of verbal confrontation, adapting to one's interlocutor, creating fluid dialogues without necessarily complying with all their thoughts. A visual novel that is so classic, even predictable in its police nuance, but brilliant in the micro-situations we will experience in every journey.
