It's hard to imagine any fan of any of the Darksiders games not enjoying Genesis.  It definitely hammers home on the strengths of the franchise and brings the playable characters full circle with the introduction of Strife.

The Outer Worlds might not be exactly what you think it's going to be.  It's a smaller game, one that focuses on replay value and role play fantasy to really get the most out of the experience.  It's a dense game though, where there's plenty of lore packed into smaller sandbox style areas.  It's up to you to poke around in the corners of these areas to get the most out of it.

While it might not be every shooter fan's bag, Battle for Neighborville has certainly got the ability to entertain just about anyone... young or old, experience shooter player or first-timer.

Ultimately, Codemasters plays it safe with GRID, for better and worse.  There's certainly a lack of features, less modes, and a lesser number of cars and tracks than other contemporary racers.  This is a no-frills arcade racer, but a very good one.  If solid racing action is the only thing you care about, GRID has it in spades.

Concrete Genie has a great score and impressive art direction which leave you absolutely jaw-dropped at times. It's a short game though, and that feels even more so when the game goes away from its core strengths and barrels towards the finish line with lackluster combat sequences.

Madden 20 does very little in this year's game to impress, but it doesn't do anything that truly disappoints.  What it offers is a competent and refined football experience with a stellar presentation and plenty of modes to play.

Rad is about what you expect from the modern rogue-like game in terms of features and structure.  If you dig the 80's aesthetic, or rogue-likes in general, there's a game that you can sink many hours into here.

Gears 5 once again feels like a safe bet by The Coalition.  You can start to see the developer thinking about new ideas and potential directions that the series can go, but Gears 5 feels largely familiar.  The additions of some new features and a new mode added to the fan-favorites that return make for a robust package though.
