4.6 / 5.0 - Resident Evil 2
Jan 29, 2019

All in all, Resident Evil 2 is an excellent remake that modernizes the classic 1998 video game and makes it playable by today's standards. Not only does the game pay homage to the original game, but it also offers something fresh for both new and old fans of the franchise. This is easily an early 2019 ‘Game of the Year' candidate.

Despite some minor flaws, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an excellent addition to the new trilogy that started with the reboot in 2013. The fact that this game favors exploration over action sequences is a huge plus for me. It's also worth mentioning it's one of the most beautiful looking games you will play all year long. If you liked the new Tomb Raider games, then you will certainly enjoy playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider as this game brings back to the roots of the series where it focuses more on exploration rather than action.

8.8 / 10.0 - A Way Out
Mar 28, 2018

All in all, A Way Out is an innovative game and one that is recommended for people with a close friend or family member to play with. You can either bond together doing the co-op activities, or troll one another for some cheap laughs. Either way, it’s one of the best co-op experiences I’ve ever had in many years. Sure the game is short, but the unique gameplay and excellent story made me hooked until the very end. Even though it’s only March, A Way Out is my favorite game of the year thus far.

All in all, Burnout Paradise Remastered is an excellent re-release on both the PS4 and Xbox One. Despite being a game that was released ten years ago, this remaster modernizes the graphics and retains the excellent soundtrack and fast paced gameplay. If you love fun arcade style racing games, you must try and pick this game up now as it's a refreshing change compared to the more realistic racing games such as Forza and Gran Turismo.

8.5 / 10.0 - Astria Ascending
Sep 27, 2021

Astria Ascending is surprisingly an accessible JRPG that could appeal to both veterans and beginners. The fact that your health replenishes after each battle makes dungeon crawling not as stressful as other RPGs. Not to mention the 2D graphics look awesome on both PS4 and PS5. This is definitely if you are a JRPG fan in general.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy features three great games that have been remastered for current-gen systems. It is from the visual novel genre, but the stories are engaging for most gamers to be interested. A must play for those that like to experience something different.

Anyway, Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 ends on a high note with episode 5. It has a decent conclusion and one of the best boss fights I have ever played in a Telltale video game. Season 2 will make a perfect Christmas gift for anyone in the family that loves Minecraft and Telltale video games in general.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is still an enjoyable game thanks to an intriguing storyline and one of the best graphics the series has ever seen. Sure it feels like Origins 2.0, although there is enough new content for Odyssey to stand out on its own. That being said, leveling up can be boring and some of the side quests get repetitive and boring after a while. Odyssey is still worth playing though if you can get used to its many flaws regarding its progression.

4 / 5.0 - Trials Rising
Mar 1, 2019

Overall, Trials Rising doesn't change too much of its formula, but this is a good thing because the Trials series has always been challenging and addictive. The new Tandem Bike mode is full of fun, but the single player mode might upset some fans due to its new progression system. Other than that, most Trials fans will love this new entry and what it has to offer.

Overall, it's great to finally play the older Kingdom Hearts games if you are an exclusive Xbox gamer. Both of these collections offer hours of great and fun gameplay. Not to mention this is the best experience to play these games thanks to the 4K and 60fps upgrades. If you've only played Kingdom Hearts III, do yourself a favor and go back and play the rest of the series!

The majority of Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 is excellent as the earlier games in the series are still fun to play even 20 years later. Sure you need to be an expert at 2D shooters to get the most fun out of them, but the Rookie Hunter mode does make things slightly easier for noobs. Just try and ignore Mega Man X6 and Mega Man X7 because they’re by far the weakest additions to the Mega Man X franchise.

3.9 / 5.0 - Marvel's Avengers
Sep 6, 2020

Marvel's Avengers has a good campaign, and I'm surprised by how much I liked the overall game. Sure the gameplay can feel repetitive, but I enjoyed playing as many different characters. The main thing that disappointed me though is the lack of offline multiplayer and the repetitive endgame content. Aside from that, I still enjoyed beating up bad guys as the Avengers.

7.8 / 10.0 - Miasma Chronicles
May 29, 2023

Miasma Chronicles is mostly an enjoyable tactical RPG thanks to its likable set of characters and exciting story. The only major thing that holds the game down is its RNG mechanics regarding combat. Constantly missing close-range shots ruins what could have been a better experience for me.

7.5 / 10.0 - No Man's Sky
Jul 29, 2018

No Man’s Sky Next is a huge improvement over the original game because there are new features and better visuals for you to look at. It’s worth playing the game if you still own a copy of it and want to download the free update. However, the game can still be boring at times and I don’t think it does enough to entice new players to give it a try.

Overall, Need for Speed: Heat is a fun game and might be the best in the series since 2006's Need for Speed: Carbon. The open world is pretty and there are a lot of fun activities for you to do. The only thing holding the game down is the annoying cops which affect your enjoyment factor in a huge way. If the cops weren't such a big factor in the game, I would have liked this game more.

3.8 / 5.0 - AO Tennis 2
Jan 21, 2020

Overall, AO Tennis 2 feels much more fleshed out compared to the bare-bones release of the first AO Tennis game. While the gameplay and graphics have not been dramatically changed, there are far more game modes to sink your teeth into giving you more hours of gameplay to enjoy. Not to mention AO Tennis 2 is the best tennis simulator you can buy right now. Just remember to avoid 2018's Tennis World Tour at all costs!
