Lust for Darkness is a horror adventure that takes place between an ancient mansion where dark ceremonies of a cult dedicated to sex take place, and the Lusst'ghaa dimension, a place abandoned to carnal pleasures and the infinite ecstasy. Strong Lovecraftian inspiration and designs inspired in Giger designs, for a horror adventure that sounds better than it looks and moves, with a technically poor version for Switch and a collection of bugs that necessarily subtract from the score.

65 / 100 - The Sojourn
Sep 24, 2019

The sojourn is a puzzle game that relies on the duality between light and dark to propose some very interesting challenges, at least at beginning. It also has a storyline to beautify the game but it is too cryptic and ends up being diluted while the adventure lengthens incomprehensibly based on repeating challenges and situations without provide new playable mechanics from the beginning. But to his credit it also has a remarkable artistic section, and some of his proposals are quite intelligent and interesting.

Contra has returned, and he has not done it through the big door. Maybe following the path of Neo Contra was not what the most staunch fans expected, and of course the technical section has not been to a good level, but if we forgiving him his failures, and giving him a chance, we can surely have fun, although always better with friends, locally or online. Hopefully the future holds us more Contra games, the classics never die.

65 / 100 - Golazo!
Oct 15, 2019

We missed a soccer arcade from the old times, and in this case, Golazo! try to fill that gap. A totally arcade football, crazy and without rules, but that has his issues, such as an AI difficult to predict and quite inconsistent, and a discrete graphics. Even so for quick games, and if you don't try to understand what is happening on the field, it can be an interesting option to remember those 90's classics.

Simple and entertaining visual novel about the search for true love between Kenji, the protagonist, and different girls we will try to meet through their knickers. Artistically and musically is very successful, but the game has narrative issues that not explode the possibilities of the game, and they end up turning the experience into a continuation of trial and error situations, with some really absurd choices. However, and surprisingly, he achieves his goal about remember those wonderful 90s.

Asterix & Obelix XXL 3 - The Crystal Menhir is a game that doesn't feel necessary from a saga that saw its two releases in the 128-bit generation. It is not very well understood why the game has been rescued from the trunk of memories, and why it has done so by changing the style of play for an air view beat'em up, but although the game fails to stand out at all, its simple control and the interesting proposal of some of their levels can entertain enough, especially to fans, who will know how to find the added value to the game.

Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai is a light action RPG that, despite having Dragon Quest in the title, focuses on the anime and manga of the same name and has nothing to do with the main game series or its spin-offs. -more well-known offs -beyond the common elements of the franchise such as its bestiary-. An adventure awaits us where we will follow approximately a third of the anime with certain pacing problems due to its strange structure of telling the story and we may also be affected by its too simple combat that only shines before the bosses. Despite all this, and perhaps because of the weight of nostalgia, Infinity Strash is a game that we are going to recommend, especially for manga and anime fans.

Curse of the Sea Rats, called ratoidvania by its creator, is a pretty standard metroidvania. It stands out for its exquisitely animated and hand-drawn character design, and for offering four-player co-op, something not very typical for the subgenre. Despite its interesting premise, its execution has not been perfect. There are many small details that the user can decide to ignore and enjoy the adventure or they can spoil the experience a bit. Even so, the game is fun and engaging, so we can only recommend it.

COSMIC FANTASY COLLECTION is one of those compilations that has more value for its proposal of bringing us works that are fairly unknown in the West than for the two games it contains, especially for its first installment that abuses grinding, has unjustified difficulty peaks and is quite flat . The second installment fixes all of that, that's true, but we would have liked some quality of life options such as saving at any point or an option to speed up combat. In any case, lovers of classic JRPGs and retro games have a golden opportunity to get to know this franchise that will be complete with the upcoming COSMIC FANTASY COLLECTION 2.

Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection is a very interesting compilation for Jurassic Park fans. It recovers the first games that accompanied Steven Spielberg's film and its fictional sequels, forming a compilation of 8 and 16-bit games in which a couple more games are missing. The quality of life improvements are appreciated and are great for some of the games. If you like what surrounds the Jurassic Park phenomenon, and you want to know the first titles with which the franchise started in the world of video games, don't miss it.

70 / 100 - VISCO Collection
Nov 28, 2023

VISCO Collection is a compilation of 7 games that focuses on Visco Corporation titles that came out for the Neo Geo system, ignoring the two Breakers and games licensed by third parties. Although the Japanese company has other great titles that are not in this compilation as they are developed for other Arcade systems or boards, the titles included comply with what is proposed and several of them have received online multiplayer functions. VISCO Collection is a good approximation to the games that the Japanese company made for Neo Geo and deserves our attention.

70 / 100 - Air Twister
Nov 6, 2023

Air Twister is the new title from Yu Suzuki and his studio YS.NET, a rail shooter spiritual successor to Suzuki's famous Space Harrier with Sega. A very bizarre game awaits us with many dissonant elements that may surprise us or take us out of place, but when the action starts is when we will see that everything works and we will let ourselves go. The game is fun and easy to play, Yu Suziki doesn't seem to have lost his touch, and if you like this type of game, you are going to enjoy it.

Mortal Shell: Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch is a very worthy version of the success of the Cold Symmetry studio. We find ourselves with a soulslike adventure that does not hide its influences with respect to Dark Souls but knows how to print its own personality. This unexpected edition for the Nintendo console is more than welcome in a catalog that does not have as many representatives of this type of game as other systems.

Wonder Boy Collection is a compilation of the Westone franchise that includes four of the six classic installments of the saga -we are left without two thirds-. Relive the classic installments of Wonder Boy and Monster World or discover them for the first time, since today they are still super enjoyable.

With Fatesworn we revisit the interesting world of Amalur. THQ Nordic has been hell-bent on bringing this franchise back to life and we couldn't be happier about it. If first it was the remastering of the original game, now they surprise us with an expansion full of post-game content and a new area that will give us between 10 and 20 more hours of fun. It's not perfect, but if you liked the original game, Mithros is waiting for you.

70 / 100 - Cotton 100%
Nov 8, 2021

This new version of Cotton 100% brings us this curious and valued cute 'em up from Super Famicom to the West 27 years after its original release. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know the franchise of the witch Nata de Cotton and her companion the fairy Silk with the second installment of the series. We only have to regret that this review is so sparse of news, extras or additional content.

Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions is a clearly focused game for fans of the Rocky movies. It fulfills as a boxing arcade -simple and concise- but where it shows its value is in the high level of fan service, reaching its zenith in a powerful soundtrack extracted directly from the franchise films and in the opportunity to play iconic boxing matches like Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed.

70 / 100 - The Falconeer
Aug 2, 2021

The Falconeer: Warrior Edition presents the game by Tomas Sala that debuted last year on Xbox Series and PC, along with its two DLCs, the well-known The Hunter and the unreleased Edge Of The World. We will fight dog-face on the back of our war hawks while we are participants in a political plot full of betrayals. If the proposal calls us, and we are not afraid of some repetitiveness in the development of the missions, we will find a more than interesting game that is worth giving a try.

COLLECTION of SaGa FINAL FANTASY LEGEND gives us the first three deliveries of the little-known SaGa franchise published on Game Boy between 89 and 91. Using the name of Final Fantasy Legend in the U.S. market as a hook, they achieved relative success despite having little or nothing to do with the star franchise of Square. With some very peculiar mechanics and a high difficulty, they are not JRPGs for beginners, and they can be made hard for the current player, but those who know and follow the franchise will find an unbeatable way to know or remember their beginnings with this compilation. The options are correct, but there are a few more extras missing.

70 / 100 - Wonder Blade
Dec 9, 2020

Wonder Blade is to Castle Crashers what Fighter's History is to Street Fighter, a highly "inspired" game. Beyond the moral issue of this situation, Wonder Blade offers us a brawler with RPG elements and some levels with different mechanics that bring variety to the whole. A punk game, as the title from which it is "inspired", that beyond some mismatches in the difficulty, and the poor presentation of the current versions, offers a quite safisfactory experience, especially if we have not played Castle Crashers.
