Metal Slug Tactics is the long-awaited return of an iconic franchise within the 2D run and gun genre, although it does so in the form of a spin-off and changing the classic gameplay of the saga for tactical strategy with roguelike elements. Despite the change in genre, Tactics manages to capture the spirit of Metal Slug thanks to the inclusion of its classic characters and vehicles, as well as all its humor. It is not a perfect game, and its great strengths can easily become problems if it is not the right audience, but beyond this, Metal Slug Tactics is a more than interesting game.

The Smurfs: Dreams is the latest title based on the Smurfs franchise that, to everyone's surprise, offers an unquestionable leap in quality. With quite solid gameplay and very successful level design and mechanics, it is perfect for all types of audiences, who will enjoy this outstanding adventure regardless of age. Very good for Ocellus Studio, which offers us what is possibly the best video game based on these little blue characters.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is the remake of Romancing SaGa 2, a very peculiar JRPG with certain mechanics that could be described as pioneering - Legacy System similar to a roguelike and autoleveling in enemies. Its interesting proposal and the freedom of development offered by its peculiar mechanics make this remake an interesting entry point to this curious and still quite unknown franchise called SaGa by Square Enix. Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is an incredible title that deserves the attention of both fans of the franchise and those looking for a unique RPG.

SILENT HILL 2 is a very worthy remake of the original Silent Hill 2. Bloober Team has managed to capture the atmosphere and psychological horror that made the original game a masterpiece. They have masterfully renewed all the playable elements, maintaining the essence of the original work and expanding the experience to practically double its duration with content that seems typical of the extinct Team Silent. SILENT HILL 2 is an outstanding game that pays an incredible tribute to a classic and offers us a terrifying and brilliant experience, now we want more Silent Hill and from the Bloober Team.

We found Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred to be a very interesting expansion, with great successes - the Spiritualist, return of the mercenaries, and the postgame content -, and some things to improve - some difficulties are broken, and the game needs even more balancing -. Otherwise we are facing a great expansion, with a lot of content, new challenges, and that will captivate the Diablo IV player from start to finish.

Crow Country is a love letter for fans of classic survival horror, an outstanding adventure that captures the essence of the genre perfectly. Despite the classic cut of the adventure, there is no lack of integration of more modern mechanics that favor playability, and its difficulty selector, despite being unpopular due to one of its levels without enemies, is a success for a larger audience. to the genre. Without being perfect, Crow Country will take us back to that 32-bit generation where the foundations of the genre were established, something that is definitely worth it.

Ys X: Nordics is presented as a solid addition to the franchise, offering evolved gameplay and new playable elements. The Mana String is quite interesting and gives many new possibilities to the protagonists that make the game more dynamic and fun. On the other hand, the naval combats, although interesting, have left us a little cold. Still, Ys fans are in luck because the spirit of Ys is still intact and in top form, and it's still devilishly fun.

Neva, the new game from Nomada Studio, the studio behind the acclaimed GRIS, once again surpasses itself with a beautiful, emotional and revealing story about parenthood, growing up, love and life itself, all with a narrative that presents us with the relationship between Alba and the wolf Neva in a hostile environment, and how they must take care of each other, and grow together. All this is complemented by gameplay that combines action, platforms and small puzzles that fit together perfectly and form a definitively outstanding whole. If you liked GRIS, Neva is essential, since it clearly surpasses this one, and if you haven't tried it, go straight for both.

Valfaris: Mecha Therion is the direct continuation of 2018's Valfaris but with a gender change in between. From 2D action and platforms to a horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up without losing any of the essence that made the first game popular, what's more, with certain mechanics taken from here and there that make Mecha Therion a very interesting Martian killer. Hectic but with an important component of strategy. Valfaris: Mecha Therion is definitely a pleasant surprise for fans of the first game, and a joy for shoot 'em up fans.

Khaos Reigns is an expansion that effectively expands the world of Mortal Kombat 1 with a new story and new characters. In addition, the release of the expansion comes with a free update with quite a few new features, including the return of the Animalities. If you are a Mortal Kombat fan and were already hooked on the base game, this expansion will give you a few more hours of exciting fights and gore in the purest style of the series, although the price may be a bit high.

Caravan SandWitch is an interesting and emotional adventure in a mysterious and beautiful open world. Plane Toad has managed to create an adventure free of combat mechanics and any type of danger where we can explore at our own pace while the story develops. A good narrative and good character design at the level of depth and development complete this great mystery and science fiction adventure that we cannot help but recommend.

Cuddly Carnage is an adorable, bloody and fun chaos, a game that hides a more solid and polished experience than it appears and that despite its madness offers us pure fun and doubt. It is true that the Nintendo Switch version - which we have played - suffers graphically in exchange for gaining the necessary fluidity, but it still offers a very fun experience that is worth enjoying.

The Plucky Squire is a beautiful story for children -and adults- turned into a video game. All Possible Futures brings us with its first title a game that is as imaginative and creative as it is simple, which can also be seen as a problem due to its lack of difficulty. A good story awaits us, well told and with a message, which makes the title even more interesting and which everyone should give a chance.

Frostpunk 2 is a continuous game with its first installment, although the developer has been able to expand and enhance a formula that worked wonderfully in Frostpunk - construction and management of cities plus survival - delving into expansion, management, and colony construction. and above all the relationships with the different factions and the political aspect, creating a much more complete title and to a certain extent somewhat more complex, but superior to its predecessor. If you liked the first game or you like the genre, Frostpunk 2 is a title that you cannot miss.

Yars Rising is the ambitious reinterpretation of the Atari classic Yars' Revenge that manages to capture the essence of the original game and incorporate it into a new metroidvania genre game that knows how to successfully integrate all the iconography of the Atari classic. Great work by WayForward that does not shine more for small details, but still offers a title that, whether you are a fan of Atari or simply like the metroidvania genre, offers an experience that you should not miss.

Visions of Mana, the latest installment of the Seiken Densetsu franchise, offers us a solid action RPG with quite a few strong points, although with some aspects that could have been improved. The narrative and exploration, while competent, don't reach their full potential, and technical performance can impact the gameplay experience. However, the depth of the combat, the artistic design and the soundtrack make it a highly recommended title for fans of the saga and lovers of the action RPG genre.

Concord is the new online multiplayer hero shooter developed by Firewalk Studios and PlayStation Studios. that pits two teams of five players against each other in intense combat with a high strategy component. With 16 characters, several levels, and plenty of content to start, the game is structured in seasons where content will be added for free, including more characters, levels, and additional game modes. Although it is not easy to enter a market where competition has been established for several years, we can say without a doubt that Concord has all the ingredients to try it successfully.
