PlatinumGames is now one of the most respected developers in our industry, and it’s due to titles like Bayonetta, and Vanquish. There’s no doubt that it’s most due to the success of the sassy and sultry lass in black, who won the hearts of millions of gamers out there. Her dominate attitude, her lust for vengeance and action, and her impeccable gunplay makes her one of gaming’s leading lady’s.

Without it, we would not see the success stories of many major modern hack and slasher’s such as Bayonetta, Dynasty Warriors, Darksiders, Castlevania, No More Heroes, God of War, Heavenly Sword and many others. Devil May Cry 3 is still the staple of the hack and slash genre, and will remain one of the greatest action games of all time.

Much like why our red gloved, yellow donned, pale-caped crusader does his job, we play video games for the exact same reason. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a game that should be played, just for fun.

This is a rag-tag button mashing mindless adventure that sets to accomplish a task in making new fans of the series. For anyone who has never seen the My Hero Academia anime, One’s Justice 2 will certainly encourage you to check it out. Plus Ultra!

9.5 / 10.0 - DOOM Eternal
Mar 24, 2020

I highly suggest any gamer out there to experience the nonsense that exudes nothing but jaw dropping, trigger-happy action. [...] There will be a rhythm to get a hold of once jumping into the deep end of the title, but once you have it down-pat, DOOM Eternal will be one of the most memorable experiences in gaming, you will have this generation.

8.5 / 10.0 - Resident Evil 3

Comparing it to the last entry of the reborn franchise will be hard to avoid, just as it was while reviewing the title. As a standalone experience, RE3 is quite solid. It's still an intense, fast paced, survival-horror adventure; jam packed with bombastic sequences, subtle comedy, and a cast of memorable characters that re-counts their story to an entirely new generation.

With every square inch of its redesign, FF7R’s remaster takes what we know and love about its initial entry and overhauls its experience to fit the mold of the gamer of today. It’s faithful, yet fresh. It’s the same experience, redefined. It’s familiar, yet breathtaking. And most importantly, it’s one of the best game’s of our generation. Final Fantasy VII: Remake is in clear contention for Game of the Year, again… in 2020.

With an established franchise that has had its fair share of mixed emotions in prior entries, it’s wonderful to see it reach new heights, and garner a wider appeal amongst gamers. 5 / 10.0 - AFL Evolution 2
Apr 23, 2020

While I would love to say that this title is an authentic, Aussie Rules Footy experience in your hands, I just can’t approve of the numerous dilemma’s it carries. If there was anything positive to take from the title itself, it’s that AFL Evolution 2 is a playable experience, but one you would ultimately walk away from questioning its existence.

8.5 / 10.0 - Sakura Wars
Apr 27, 2020

Yes, it may seem like a manifestation of all the quintessential traits seen in many title’s within it’s genre’s nature, but that’s what makes Sakura Wars awesome. Sakura Wars separates itself from being just another typical dungeon crawler; it breaks the mold and creates something unique, fresh and memorable.

9 / 10.0 - Trials of Mana

Its accessibility is consistent, and makes for a smooth and flawless experience. It’s fun and engaging to play, and would be a great entry point for those looking to experience a JPRG, on a smaller scale. Trials of Mana remains legenadary through its 2020 remake.
