Minishoot' Adventures mixes metroidvania with shoot 'em up in a captivating experience thanks to its colorful world full of secrets. The diversity of challenges and the possibility of improving the ship keep the game interesting, despite relying on familiar mechanics. However, the lack of innovation in skills and combat, as well as a limited map system, mark the negative points, preventing the title from reaching its full potential. Still, the game does what it sets out to do well, offering an engaging journey with lots of action and exploration. The charismatic atmosphere and fluidity of the action make up for the shortcomings, making Minishoot' Adventures a worthy addition to the genre, even with the feeling of missed opportunities in terms of boldness and innovation.

Astral Ascent offers an immersive and dynamic roguelite experience. The 2D action excites us with the diversity of characters with unique fighting styles and the robust spell system, which provide frantic and strategic matches. Furthermore, there is a lot of content to explore, with modifiers to make runs more complex. Despite having elaborate action, the game has some limitations. The variety of rooms and events during matches is reduced, making it a notable weakness that can result in repetition. At least there's a captivating world to explore with beautiful pixel art visuals and charismatic characters, whose personality is reinforced by the voice acting. In the end, Astral Ascent is a solid, agile and engaging action roguelite. It lacked a little boldness, but the end result is great.

Thirsty Suitors oozes charm with its creative mix of narrative RPG, skateboarding and cooking. It's engaging to follow Jala on his journey of redemption and self-discovery because of the humorous dialogue, the unusual characters and the many interesting themes covered by the story. Furthermore, its universe brims with style with its extravagant combats, exaggerated movements and colorful atmosphere inspired by Indian culture. The attempt to bring a little of everything is commendable, but, unfortunately, the game doesn't do the job. The combat is basic and lacking strategy, the cooking bits are repetitive and skateboarding is clumsy. Luckily, the narrative manages to tie everything together consistently, however, individually, the various aspects leave something to be desired. All in all, Thirsty Suitors is a unique and surreal experience with its extravagant combination of genres. Despite its problems, it's a narrative adventure worth experiencing.

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a welcome innovation in the deck-building roguelike RPG genre, bringing dice instead of cards to put a unique spin on the gameplay mechanics. The dynamics of the dice add an element of probability and risk, making battles exciting and with touches of unpredictability. Furthermore, the game offers a wide variety of heroes, mechanics and strategies to explore. However, excessive complexity in some areas, such as the multitude of effects during battles and insufficient information in the interface, can hamper the experience. Over time, we learn to deal with these negative issues, but some adjustments to these aspects would make the runs more enjoyable. Overall, Astrea stands out as a captivating addition to the genre, requiring patience and dedication to master its nuances and make the most of its strategic depth.

Gunbrella arouses curiosity with its unique concept of a weapon that combines a shotgun and umbrella. The versatility of this hybrid equipment is explored in visceral and challenging combat, and there are also sections of exploration that require intelligent use of the umbrella. It is an experience that has good moments, especially in combat and ambiance, but that fails to maintain a consistent level throughout its duration. The adventure is worth it, but it is important to be willing to overlook the problems.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge has its universe amplified with the Shellshock Dimension expansion. The addition of playable characters Usagi Yojimbo and Karai brings new possibilities to combat because of their unique characteristics. Survival mode stands out with unpredictable stages and situations that require more skill and tactics on the part of the players. In addition, creative locations and temporarily controllable bosses bring an air of freshness to games. However, it is easy to see the weight of the expansion's simplicity. While it brings new challenges, Survival mode can eventually fall into the trap of monotony due to the lack of content diversity. Some unlockables and online leaderboards try to make the mode last longer, however only the most competitive players are likely to sustain long-term interest. All in all, Dimension Shellshock is a decent addition to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge and is a great reason to revisit the game.
