SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy delivers some unique battles with a cast of enjoyable characters. The game’s difficulty spike in the story mode and the lack of content are unfortunate, but it’s an otherwise good game for those who are getting their feet wet in the fighting genre.

3.5 / 5.0 - It's Spring Again
Sep 12, 2018

Like any children’s storybook, It’s Spring Again is very short. However, you can get a good couple playthroughs in before kids will want to move on. At $1.99 (USD), it’s a great price for an interactive book for your little ones to enjoy and get them learning about weather and seasonal changes. Of course, that’s if you don’t mind having your Nintendo Switch in their hands; otherwise, you can pick it up on iOS or Android for $0.99. However you play, it’s a game worth revisiting again and again. Also note that the Nintendo Switch version can only be played undocked as it requires interaction with the touch-screen.

Code of Princess EX is an entertaining beat-em-up game that is simple enough that anyone can jump in. Even though the boss battles can be tedious and the graphics aren’t as polished as they could be, it’s still an adventure of decent caliber.

Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is an interesting RPG that offers a tons of comedic dialogue and deep gameplay in the well-drawn world of Ascalia. While the game’s user interface and drawn-out battles can put a damper on players’ enjoyment, the various gameplay modes thankfully make the game accessible for everyone. With a little hard work, this kingdom may be one worth saving, after all.

The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 has interesting characters and conversations and a few unique gameplay elements that differentiate it from other JRPG titles, but with dull maps and repetitive battles, exploration will make players yawn.

3.5 / 5.0 - Dimension Drive
Dec 28, 2017

Dimension Drive is a pawesome shoot ‘em up that gives you plenty to test your teleportation and shooting tactics. However, the game’s brutal difficulty and its obstacles blending into the background make the game frustrating to play.

Delicious! Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire is simple to learn and pretty entertaining, even if it lacks in gameplay options. If you enjoy waifus and puzzles, give this game a turn.

Override 2: Super Mech League shows that a mech-fighting game can be fun and look good. However, the lack of options and the constant camera battles limit long-term replayability. Still, even for a short time, live those mecha glory days!

3.5 / 5.0 - Kitaria Fables

Kitaria Fables isn’t perfect and has a handful of small issues. Still, with a good mix of adventuring, farming, and crafting, it’s a fun game whether you experience the game solo or with a partner. Grab your sword and prepare for a meowtastic adventure.

Pretty Girls Panic! is a fun puzzle game, for a short time. The simplistic gameplay makes it easy to pick up, but there’s potential for much more. Expect a short day with these waifus.

Pretty Girls Panic! PLUS improves what its predecessor lacked and continues to make a cutting board puzzle game entertaining. However, the extra content only goes so far and ultimately feels unfinished. It’s a plus minus, instead of a plus plus.

Mega Man Battle & Fighters is a fun port for Mega Man fanatics to play since most have never had the chance to try The Power Battle and The Power Fighters. Unfortunately, the game's single-player-only mode and lack of additional content prevent it from being greater. It’s more Decent Man than Mega Man.

3.3 / 5.0 - Waifu Uncovered
Sep 23, 2020

Putting aside the quirky visuals, weird enemies, and the saucy maidens, Waifu Uncovered actually offers some solid shoot ‘em up gameplay, making it a fun, short diversion to play between other games in your library. It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t have more to offer outside its normal gameplay, but you get what you pay for. Just be sure to enjoy the waifus at home!

Lost Words: Beyond the Page is an interesting tale between a little girl’s experience with life and death and the fantasy world to which she escapes. The game’s mechanics are unique but suffer some bug issues along the way. Even so, Izzy’s story is compelling enough that you’ll want to keep going in order to see how it ends.

Ultimately, Aztech Forgotten Gods is a decent outing with its intriguing heroine and equally intriguing world of massive boss fights. It certainly has the potential to be a great game, but its graphics and gameplay mechanics need more refinement before it can reach that level. For now, these gods risk being forgotten again.
