Flashback 2 needed to spend a few more months polishing its rough edges. There is no other way to put this. Whether it's due to the significant amount of graphical problems, problems in triggering events, or its inappropriate game mechanics, there are too many situations where we had to use all our patience to be able to complete it. Its basic premise is interesting and its origins exciting, but it is certainly an experience that would benefit from refinement.

Railways: Train Simulator is a nice and simplistic game, where our hand-eye coordination is put to the test. The ability to deal with several variables, in order to carry out a good completion of the level also proved to be a challenge to overcome in the final levels. In the end, we were left with the feeling that it could have been something more, but it is still a funny title to try during the dead hours.

Made in Abyss is an interesting title that features a premise and plot that faithfully follow the anime experience and even prove to be truly captivating. The way it blends character development elements with inventory management and survival mechanics is well implemented and introduces a welcomed differentiation . Mainly the concept of the variation of depth affecting the gameplay, it's an aspect that puts us in a different mindset from all other games. However, the title's pacing works against itself, as it is full of moments that cut the natural course of the story. Particularly noteworthy is the amount of content-filling missions, which could be avoided or reworked. Fundamentally, this is a title that allows anime fans to interact with their favorite characters and live their own adventure as explorers of the abyss! All this while visiting the captivating and intriguing areas of the deep!

LEGO Horizon Adventures is certainly an interesting experience, but it's far from being as exciting a game as Horizon Zero Dawn or Horizon Forbidden West. But if the goal was to dress up Horizon in a way that appealed to younger gamers, perhaps it would do the job and ultimately drive new audiences to the main games… perhaps we can say Mission Accomplished!

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is another excellent title in the famous Interactive Narrative Adventure series. Even though it fails to present a truly characterizing element of the experience, it does introduce an excellent setting and characterization of characters. The mechanics of traveling between two distinct realities was a winning bet, even if we felt it could have been used better. Overall, it's an excellent opportunity for fans of the series to find out what happened to Max Caulfield (protagonist of the first game in the series) and players in general who enjoy the genre.

Chocobo GP is a fun kart racing game in which we can easily spend some time, but at the end of the day it doesn't manage to bring anything innovative to the genre. The truth is that most players (including us) will invest some time in this title, simply because they love Final Fantasy. In the end, it's safe to say that Chocobo GP is an experience that doesn't surpass other titles of the genre, but if players enter mindful of its limitations and what it currently is, they can enjoy a good dose of fun.

Edge of Eternity is an excellent title for any fan of a good, classic JRPG. Showcasing a clear influence from games from the 90's and early 2000's, it's a clear love letter to these experiences. The small size of the studio is notorious, and its ambition to present a large-scale experience is clear. However, this is also one of the problems, as sometimes the title would benefit more from simpler solutions. It's clearly a game with some rough edges and a very problematic pacing, but if you can accept these limitations, you'll certainly have a very pleasant experience.

On a console where Mario Kart is king and lord, it would be strange to come up with an arcade racing game that can stand up to it. In this particular case, we believe that, with some work from the producers, this title will have all the possibilities to do so. The problems detected are likely to be rectified with updates and the freedom and range of possibilities owes nothing to Nintendo's colossus. On the contrary, the huge amount of vehicles (and their customization), combined with a tool for creating and sharing tracks, helps the title a lot to cement its position in the console catalogue. If you're Hot Wheels fans and enjoy arcade racing, it's certainly a title to keep an eye on!

Persona 5 Tactica offers a captivating experience, but fails to introduce new and different game mechanics... something that others in the genre can do better. Still, it features a captivating narrative, on-point conceptual art and an extraordinary soundtrack. These elements in themselves help immensely in transmitting a rewarding experience to the player. However, we feel like it might be time to let our favorite thieves rest a little and embark on new adventures!

Soul Hackers 2 is a solid turn-based RPG, but it fails to introduce anything new or consolidate all elements of the introduced experience. Fortunately, it features great characterization and a solid plot that keeps us on our toes throughout the game. Fans of Shin Megami Tensei will certainly be able to enjoy it, but overall there are better alternatives.

The Cruel King and the Great Hero is a lovely RPG, carefully hand drawn, that presents us with a story of supplanting and growth. The players are presented with an exciting experience, even though quite elementar towards it's mechanics. The final sensation is that we are facing a fairy tale that is presented to us in a magical way. Despite the tedious random battles, the experience tends to reveal itself as captivating throughout its duration. Essentially, we consider a title that deserves to be passed by everyone at least once.

If you enjoy the genre, G.Darius HD is an experience not to be missed. One of the best and most innovative releases in the series, featuring a quality transition to 3D. This HD version, thanks to its aesthetic improvements and soundtrack typical of the saga, will grab anyone for many long hours. Whether it's to complete the game, get the best scores or complete the catalog of enemies, you can count on a pleasantly extensive experience!

R-Type Final 2 is a return to the origins just like relieving an arcade experience. The old school difficulty is very present, so for players new to the genre, get ready to take a lot of beating! Still, we guarantee that you will love this space war, which offers, pretty much, the best experience of its' kind. A real ode to the old days of the arcade and an unmissable title for lovers of the genre.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is an experience that faithfully pays homage to one of the most influential titles in RPG history. Boasting stunning visual aesthetics, significant gameplay improvements, and a classic (if simplistic) narrative that has stood the test of time, this remake offers an experience that is both nostalgic and refreshing. Some mechanics could seem out of step with current reality, such as the need to grind to progress in the game, but overall it could be an excellent entry point into the Dragon Quest series. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of the series or a newcomer, this title delivers an immersive adventure that celebrates the legacy of a true video game classic.

In "Under the Waves" we didn't find the graphics of Detroit Become Human or the plot that Heavy Rain develops, but I found a more solid and engaging experience as a whole. By simplifying some elements and refining others, we are faced with a solid narrative that will captivate players and easily allow us to join the character's struggle... on a personal or professional level. The developer's bet on teaming up with an organization with "on-site" knowledge of the reality and difficulties our oceans face, was a successful bet and one that we see as an example for other publishers to follow.

Persona 3 Portable is an excellent title that allows newer players, for a very affordable price, to gain access to one of the best RPGs on PlayStation 2…albeit in a “lite” version. Still, it would have made perfect sense to have been released a more complete version of this title or one witb added bonus components to this particular title (such as concept art, soundtrack, or producer commentary). However, some work by the publisher in revitalizing this particular title for the current market is notorious. If you liked Persona 5, you'll already know what to expect here: The bases where “everything” came from... in a more "Lite" way!

Final Fantasy:Crisis Core Reunion is one of the best remasters I've ever played. With a completely overhauled look for today market, refined gameplay and a renowned soundtrack, it's easily one of the best RPGs of the year. Despite some details that could be worked better, this is a title that will truly delight fans and give due prominence to a great character in this world.

Shin Megami Tensei V is a solid experience of what the series can present to the player. Never taking any chances with the formula, it introduces an interesting world, but one that tends to compare too much with other releases in the same series. Some better design choices could have been considered, mainly to avoid midgame repeatability, which tended to sharply accentuate during our time with this title. For fans of the genre, it is certainly an option to consider, but do not foresee a significant evolution or a reformulation of its dynamics, as it may lead to serious disappointment.

Inertial Drift is an exciting game in which the player will only truly feel his adrenaline with the Switch in hand. With classic aspects in a bright, futuristic environment and with a solid story mode, without a doubt we are awarded with a arcade racing game that will marks this generation.

I can say without a doubt that Simon the Sorcerer Origins is a celebration of what makes video games special. From the hand-crafted art and composed music to the voice acting and the humor that accompanies us from beginning to end… everything here screams authenticity. It's a tribute to the past and proof that there's room for the genre in the future. It's essentially a title for those who grew up with graphic adventures, but the truth is it also has enough elements to stand out and attract new players. In the end, a fun, beautiful, and soulful game appeals to everyone!
