6.5 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 23
Sep 8, 2022

EA has shown that it has listened to fans of the franchise after the bad feedback of the last two years and has brought small changes that give more options for how to play the classic American football simulator. The graphical improvements in the new generation are very sharp and the amount of bugs has decreased. The game modes are pretty much the same and the small changes don't sustain interest for long.

Uncharted: Legacy of the Thieves presents an even more fluid experience of the latest adventures in the franchise on PS5 with new graphics modes, delivering 4K resolution and reaching 60 or 120fps, depending on the mode selected. Adaptation to DualSense features and 3D audio also guarantee an even greater immersion in titles. Unfortunately, some decisions seem to focus more on new players, which dampens the collection's shine.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human delivers almost the same gameplay experience with few but welcome additions. The plot is the highlight of the new title in the franchise, delivering an interesting story and well-developed secondary characters. The game encourages exploration at night, when the most powerful enemies are on the loose, but guaranteeing the best rewards. Dying Light 2 should be enjoyed calmly, exploring every corner to ensure your survival in the zombie apocalypse. The wait for fans and the curious, who can enjoy the game even without having played the predecessor, was certainly worth it for the expansion of the world of Dying Light.

Sherlock Holmes Chapter One delivers a worthy experience for any detective or investigative game fan. The available cases bring interesting themes and, in general, are very fun to solve. The gameplay has several resources to solve crimes and doesn't make the game monotonous or repetitive most of the time. Although the main objective of the plot is not widely worked, it guarantees a story with unexpected moments and surprising twists.

Despite being announced in the shadow of the failure of the Avengers game, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy hits every point where the title developed by Crystal Dynamics went wrong. The choice to make a single player , totally linear and complete game at its launch, without any future DLC, is justified with a great plot focused on Star Lord, but that still explores the history of the other members of the team and a fun gameplay based on leadership. The title is full of fan service, with references to other characters and Marvel sagas, and has one of the best soundtracks in the world of electronic games. Without a doubt, an experience that brings out the best of the most misfit group of heroes in this galaxy.

7 / 10.0 - FIFA 22
Oct 13, 2021

Despite having had a greater evolution than its predecessors, once again EA releases a game that could have been a major update from the previous year, raising again the question about the annual release of such a title. The few changes in game modes do not justify the upgrade for those who play the predecessor title, mainly due to the hefty price. So, wait a few months until the value drops to play with the updated squad.

Death Stranding: Director's Cut guarantees an even more epic adventure in a definitive version that offers new gameplay features and takes full advantage of PS5, especially for those embarking on the experience for the first time. If you've already finished the campaign on PS4, I don't recommend purchasing the upgrade. If you didn't finish the story and will continue in this version, I suggest starting from the beginning to take advantage of everything the director's version has to offer in the form it should be presented.

3 / 10.0 - The Plane Effect
Oct 4, 2021

The Plane Effect has a bad execution and can put the player away in a short time. The bizarre story is completely open to interpretation, but even so, it's difficult to make any analogy or metaphor of the surreal events, and several other games have made it much simpler. The technical part is also not pleasing and makes the experience far more frustrating and extensive than it should, forcing us to turn on Guided mode just to finish the game. I myself, who love games full of metaphors and which allow us to draw our own conclusions, forced myself to reach the end to witness something unsatisfactory.

7 / 10.0 - Nexomon
Sep 28, 2021

For Pokémon fans, or those who enjoy monster catching RPGs, Nexomon is a good pick and fills the position that is so little explored outside Nintendo consoles. Though it fails a little on information availability and cursor positioning, things that could have been revamped in this new release, the game has a simple and easy gameplay and offers many hours of catching hundreds of monsters and a captivating plot.

7.5 / 10.0 - Hoa
Sep 24, 2021

Hoa is the perfect choice for those looking for a light, simple and great storytelling experience that holds our attention for approximately two hours. Such simplicity and lack of challenges may not appeal to non-casual gamers, but they should still give the game's graphical and sonic beauty a chance.

7 / 10.0 - Deathloop
Sep 21, 2021

Deathloop has had great marketing and amazing trailers, but it delivers an experience that strongly divided opinion. The plot holds the attention and, despite the stagnation at certain moments, motivates us to continue the campaign to discover the whole truth about Blackreef. The idea of a time cycle is interesting in the first few hours, but it becomes a tiring or even tedious experience after a few hours.

6 / 10.0 - Timothy's Night
Sep 12, 2021

Despite showing how to make an excellent use of the DualSense features, the minimum that should be expected even from bigger titles, Timothy's Night limits its re-release to only that, missing other points that could have been improved upon. The low difficulty and lacking content variety in the campaign, along with the flawed movement of the gangster protagonist, turn the title into a basic, quick and hardly impressive experience.

Skydrift Infinity is a simple and fun remaster that is ideal for moments of rest and relaxation. The few game modes, available tracks and the dead online monde don't hold the player for long, but the game does guarantee fun for a few races every now and then.

6.5 / 10.0 - Madden NFL 22
Sep 1, 2021

Madden NFL 22 has brought even more realism with the ability to manage the coaching staff, a great option for those who follow every detail of their favorite franchise, and GameDay Momentum, very welcome additions after last year's "copy and paste". However, the game continues with the sameness of the other game modes, which had little or no change, and does not open the doors, at least in a more inviting way, to beginners or more casual players.

Greak: Memories of Azur captivate by mixing elements from various genres and by presenting beautiful hand-drawn graphics, making it a great choice for platform and metroidvania fans. Gameplay is fun most of the time, but simultaneous control of characters at certain times can be a little frustrating. The random soundtrack and little variety of enemies can make the adventure a little monotonous at times.

A psychological horror in a futuristic cyberpunk world is not something you see every day, and Observer: System Redux executed that premise brilliantly. The mixture of calm and quiet moments with the journey through the disturbed minds of victims of a terrible crime keeps the player apprehensive at all times, but curious to know where the strange clues will take us. This definitive version brings great features, but which will be more attractive to first-time players than those thinking of revisiting this dark investigation. The individual story of each resident of Class C is as interesting as the main plot and makes us want to know even more about this strange Polish future.

Where the Heart Leads has a very interesting premise, but it wasn't executed so well. Although the choices have a real impact throughout the plot, there is a disconnect between the beginning, the middle and the end that generates an unsatisfactory ending. The lengthy dialogues, the long (and unnecessary) duration and the weak protagonist make the game a slow and uninteresting experience after a while.

This is by far one of the most beautiful titles I've ever played. Despite the basic story, the short duration of the campaign and the price in Brazil, Ratchet & Clank: In Another Dimension guarantees an extremely fun and dynamic experience while making excellent use of the PS5's DualSense and SSD features.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition brings a major graphical evolution to one of the biggest RPG franchises, but that's the only notable change. The collection seems to have been designed only for longtime fans who wanted to see their favorite saga in current visuals, without worrying about gaining new admirers by keeping gameplay somewhat dated and not translating the text into other languages, such as Portuguese.

Oddworld: Soulstorm gives us the impression of being a PS1 game running on a PS4 or PS5. Despite the interesting story and beautiful graphics, it is repetitive, tiring, dated and with inaccurate gameplay that makes some challenges more difficult than it really needed to be. Crafting and rescue systems don't work very well either. For older fans of the franchise, and anyone who added to the PS5 library on PS Plus, it's worth a try. For those who want to have a good platform experience, skip it.
