Black Ops 6 is a good Call of Duty game. It's neither revolutionary nor perfect, but it manages to be convincing enough in almost every aspect: it has a good single player campaign that lacks a bit of depth and the Zombies mode is fun for a few hours, although its maps get boring quickly. PvP is the main deal as always: the real game changer is the all-new Omnimovement system, which allows for more lively and frenetic battles and represents a new beginning for the Call of Duty franchise as a whole.

Unfortunately, Awaken: Astral Blade is a rather mediocre title, lacking narrative punch and creative inspiration. It suffers from structural oversights in game design, alongside numerous minor issues that are hard to overlook, especially given the high standards set by the genre. That said, it’s not a total failure—its unique combo mechanics and smooth controls make for an exciting, spectacular combat system.

Shadow of Erdtree is the largest DLC the gaming world has received to date. Shadow Realm turns out to be a very valuable addition to Lands Between, with beautiful new areas, amazing new boss fights, and a fulfilling new level-up system that gives the feeling of being in the Elden Ring Endgame.

The Final Shape is a concentrate of content, beautiful ideas and interesting innovations from both a technical and mechanical point of view. Now more than ever, Bungie teaches the gaming industry how to create a GaaS expansion ten years after the release of the first Destiny chapter.

Dead Island 2 offers a zombie-themed adventure that is entertaining both in terms of atmosphere and gameplay. There is also an unexpected attention to detail in terms of graphics. However, the plot fails to be anywhere near as original as the characterisation of its characters.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a contradictory game: it has a good narrative and a great gameplay, but all is cancelled by a live service structure that limits its depth and variety. The game is worth for the fans only for the main campaign.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 feels more like a DLC to Modern Warfare 2 than a title in its own right. The campaign mode is extremely short and poorly handled, while the multiplayer is plagued by an unbalanced meta and SBMM. The zombie mode gets a makeover, winking at Warzone and making it an extraction game.

The game design and exploration logic tied to Lord of the Fallen's main mechanics work great, thanks to a game map layout that remains elaborate and intelligent throughout. Unfortunately, the lack of variety of enemies and poor management of their placement, coupled with a number of serious technical inaccuracies in the control system severely ruins the gameplay.

Mortal Kombat 1 suits both the veteran and the new player, offering a complete fighting experience. The feel is great and you will be able to range in terms of gameplay variety thanks to its roster. A few software optimisation issues and a slight general balancing problem spoil the overall experience, but it's nothing that can't be fixed with some future updates.

From Software returns to the Armored Core saga with an effective and entertaining sixth chapter. Its combat system is dynamic and satisfying, while the narrative leaves something to be desired as it lacks bite. Regardless, it remains a must-have title for all mecha fans and is considered an excellent action game.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart offers a light-hearted and fun sci-fi adventure that is also varied, intense and spectacular. However, the PC version suffers from problems mostly related to optimisation that spoil the overall experience.

The Game as a Service formula of The Outlast Trials is challenging and punishing, but also functional and fun. Each element integrates perfectly into what is a game formula so distant from the saga's origins, but at the same time so functional.

Redfall gets everything wrong right from the start, and any attempt by the developers to save what can be saved turns out to be completely drained and lacking grit. The insurmountable mountain of narrative, technical and creative problems instantly extinguish the feeble dim light that could be glimpsed in the distance.

Lightfall is a controversial expansion for Destiny 2. While it once again shows a highly entertaining gameplay, we are not convinced by the narrative context. The expansion lacks bite, leaving a bitter taste for being "the beginning of the end".

Social satire and demented humour are the beating heart of High on Life: the way they are conveyed to the player is of excellent quality. However, beyond that the game doesn’t have much to offer.

Dead Space is a mighty remake with improvements in every aspect: Isaac Clarke's misadventure has been completely overhauled to offer a new approach that works really well. We trust that this is only the first step towards a new way of playing horror titles.

Hi-Fi Rush is fresh, spontaneous, lighthearted and fun, with simply outstanding attention to detail, good graphics and aesthetics, and overall very enjoyable gameplay. The progression of the adventure flows like a charm, between ever-changing sequences and fights, mechanics that are constantly being introduced, crazy bossfights, and staging gimmicks that are nothing short of genius.

The Callisto Protocol is a beautiful audio-visual experience, but it is a hole in the water on both the gameplay and narrative sides. The game offers breathtaking settings, but this is not enough if the product lacks ideas and a well-calibrated combat system.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 returns in a remake that fails to fully satisfy. The gameplay is certainly among the best on the market in the shooting aspect, but it has serious problems that lead to this chapter being considered the worst of the entire saga.

Metal Hellsinger never sets out to offer endless hours of gameplay at all costs or who knows variety or emphasis on storytelling, not even breathtaking visuals, but when you throw yourself into its insane riot of heart-pounding shootouts and heavy metal music you can be sure you will come out satisfied.
