NHL 22 offers a new visual experience, but does not offer anything new in the usual modes. If you have already played last year's game, the experience will be more than similar for your wallet, whereas the editions on new-generation consoles are more expensive.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is a rather successful sequel to its big brother in addition to bringing some improvements to a more sophisticated enclosure management system or the addition of scientists. Not to mention the full integration of aviaries or ponds to add dinosaurs. However, the single-player campaign, which is certainly more immersive, is far too short for a game marketed at the same price as AAA or almost. The absence of a tutorial is also problematic especially for new players to the franchise who will have to themselves and via the Chaos Theory mode discover the intricacies of this management game.

Despite its camera problems during certain fights, the difficulty which increases without any warning and the repetitive side of the levels, Sifu remains one of the only titles to offer such realistic fights. The developers also offer a very beautiful artistic direction which allows the game to stand out on the market. If the experience is clearly not intended for casual players, the proposed challenge should satisfy those accustomed to this style of play while using the features of your Dualsense on PS5.

If Dying Light 2: Stay Human remains a successful action game with an interesting story, an immersive atmosphere and well-integrated role-playing elements, the title does not reinvent anything while using a theme (zombies) that have been used far too often in recent years. The end of the scenario is quickly dispatched while some fights against powerful enemies are more like a game of cat and mouse. Not to mention that progress is not transferred to all players during a cooperative session. I particularly recommend the title to those who loved the first game and are looking for a more than similar experience without a huge change in gameplay.

MLB The Show 22 once again offers a complete experience for all baseball fans while making the sport increasingly accessible. Now available on Nintendo Switch, the title is now offered on almost all platforms and still integrates its shared progression systems. It is therefore possible to continue playing on any platform or to play against friends who own the game on a different platform. Since its release, the game has also been available via the Xbox Game Pass subscription, always with the aim of being as accessible as possible. Nevertheless, there are even fewer new features than last year. The gameplay is almost identical and the game modes haven't changed much, just like the visual identity. Not to mention that the game still doesn't offer any localization in other languages than English. A point that is, for me, unacceptable when the developers want to make the franchise as accessible as possible. If you already own the previous game, there is very little reason to buy this 2022 edition.

The Quarry is clearly on a par with Until Dawn and reassures me after the disappointments I felt with the last games from Supermassive Games. The atmosphere is well integrated, the visual aspect is even nicer and the scenario as a whole remains interesting even if the last scenes seem a bit rushed. After talking to some of you on social networks, there are several endings available and the choices seem to have a real impact on many dialogues and cinematics. The cooperative mode also allows you to play with people who are perhaps a little less used to video games. However, it is important to remember that the in-game stages are rather anecdotal, that there are several inconsistencies in the storyline, that the game is sold at full price for a rather average lifespan and that it is rather frustrating to have no improvement to redo the story once again.

There is no need to say, Need for Speed Unbound is not perfect, but it comes close to the good games of the license. The studio Criterion Games has done a good job in offering an art direction that stands out from the competition. The return of full vehicle customization is also very pleasing as the title has a nice list of cars. Nevertheless, the extremely repetitive nature of the events, the uninteresting multiplayer mode and the inconsistent gameplay do not allow the game to rise very high. Hopefully, this half-hearted success will allow the license to come back in force in the near future.

Marvel's Midnight Sun manages to offer a more dynamic version of the other Firaxis productions. We find most of our favorite heroes in addition to having the possibility to create our own protagonist. The fights offer some real spectacular moments. The main problem of the title concerns the dead time between missions. The dialogues are far too numerous and often not very interesting. Exploring the Abbey is more of a chore than anything else while the secrets are just another text to read. The pace of the game is very uneven even if on the whole you have a good time. The title doesn't seem to know what to do.

The new generation port of Monster Hunter Rise is clearly below expectations. In addition to not offering all the content, the improvements are few. The title clearly suffers from its initial release on Switch and it would have been interesting if Capcom had offered a more accomplished version after several years of waiting. Nevertheless, fans of the franchise will find the usual sensations and the encounter of several iconic monsters of the series. It is also possible to play in cooperation with up to 4 players. It should be noted that no cross-platform system has been integrated and you are limited to your friends who are on the same platform. Without much surprise, this PS5 version does not really bring an advantage compared to previous releases despite some successful lighting effects.

DREDGE offers an original single-player adventure and a whole new concept of fishing adventures that we could have. While the storyline takes an important place, the developers let the player discover at his own pace. The system of management and improvement of our trawler works well and adds a little challenge to our adventure. The biggest flaw remains in the repetition of the tasks performed, I would have appreciated a little more diversity in the fishing activity itself. Nevertheless, the title offers several hours of gameplay and a story that we can't wait to discover.

LEGO 2K Drive is a fun title that will bring back many memories for older players, but also allows younger ones to race in a colorful and humorous universe. The universe of this famous license has been well transcribed, and it's always fun to explore Bricklandia while destroying the scenery along the way. Unfortunately, the game's pleasant gameplay is hampered by zones that require loading times, microtransactions to obtain additional characters and the second part of the campaign mode. The title should nevertheless appeal to fans of other LEGO games looking for a new experience.

Venba is a unique experience that clearly offers a different way of telling a story. While gameplay isn't the title's masterpiece, it's still fun to understand the recipes and try to complete them. Clearly, the title would have benefited from more stages in the preparation of dishes to prolong the adventure. In a way, while the game doesn't do anything particularly bad, we're left a little disappointed. Perhaps I'd have liked the gameplay phases to have been a little longer, even if this shifts the way the story is told. There's no doubt that the Visai Studios team is talented, and we'll have to keep an eye on their next projects!

En termes de jouabilité, The Crew Motorfest est sans aucun doute l’opus le plus abouti de la franchise. La possibilité de modifier de nombreuses options permet aussi de rendre le jeu très accessible. Sans oublier le fait d’en apprendre un peu plus sur la région d’Hawaï sans devoir visionner des dizaines de cinématiques. L’archipel volcanique a été un excellent choix pour offrir aux joueurs une petite escale exotique. Cependant, le titre souffre encore des comparaisons avec son plus proche concurrent et devient très répétitif malgré son nouveau système de playlist. Le jeu s’adresse principalement à ceux à la recherche d’une expérience d’une difficulté modérée et qui ne veulent pas se prendre la tête.

Quite simplistic, My Little Universe offers a refreshing experience with a unique concept and art direction. The game is very accessible and easy to understand, while the exploration of the planets makes you want to continue playing without stopping. The main drawback is the feeling of repetition that can be felt after several hours of play, and which may discourage some players. However, if you don't mind this element, you'll be overwhelmed by this survival adventure like no other. There's no doubt that this is an ideal game if you're looking for some mindless fun.

The license doesn't suffer the same fate as some of the publisher's sports games, and this allows the developers to make some real changes. This is the case for EA Sports UFC 5, which benefits from the use of the Frosbite engine and brings a number of visual novelties while fine-tuning its gameplay. Realism is the order of the day, with an injury system that affects our fights and longevity in career mode. Nevertheless, the title remains relatively inaccessible to new players, while the content itself remains rather weak. If you're not a fan of career mode, online battles become very repetitive. It's clear, however, that the franchise is heading in the right direction.

Cities Skylines 2 brings its share of new features, including even more in-depth management of your city. The financial aspect is more difficult and may come as a surprise to some, but after a few attempts you'll get the hang of it. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is a game that would have deserved much better visibility from Ubisoft. The title is without doubt the most beautiful ever developed by the publisher, and offers a perfect adaptation of the world imagined by James Cameron. Without offering an experience that reinvents the genre, the title remains solid on its feet. However, there's a sense that the game is trying to do too much without going too deeply into its features. Not to mention that the developers have done an extraordinary job in building Pandora, but our immersion is often disrupted by numerous fades to black and small loadouts. All in all, the title remains fun, and players looking for an immersive adventure in the Na'Vi community will be convinced.

The Universim is proof that it is possible to emerge from a long period of early access. The title offers a successful divine simulation experience with an original art direction. Difficulty is high, but the game remains accessible even for new players. All in all, the experience is a positive one, even if a few aspects, such as in-game speed and a tutorial that's not always easy to follow, still need a little fine-tuning. I'd recommend this title mainly to regulars of the genre.

Outriders is not the most innovating title and doesn't really deliver the greatest experience in its genre. Nevertheless, when playing in coop and if you're fan of the genre, you could quickly forget the flaws and enjoy the experience. The game is going to have to bring a lot of additionnal content quickly if it hopes to keep an active community.
