The campaign knows how to entertain throughout its duration with well-timed missions, the Zombies mode has all the right features to please long-time fans and the multiplayer is as fun as it is frenetic thanks to the introduction of the Omnimovement, the absolute protagonist of this chapter.

Age of Mythology Retold is the dream of all fans of the old Ensemble Studios title: it allows you to play what is on balance a remake with a visibly improved technical sector and many small innovations on the gaming front. It is therefore an opportunity to discover or rediscover this real-time strategy, perhaps taking advantage of its presence in the console and PC Game Pass catalog.

6.5 / 10.0 - Concord
Aug 25, 2024

Concord is a hero shooter with an effective graphic sector and a really fun gunplay, characteristics that however fail to stand out due to the presence of not insignificant problems, both in terms of the balance of the roster and in terms of the characterization of the individual fighters.

CYGNI All Guns Blazing is not the classic "shmup" but, net of a convincing visual system and some successful gameplay ideas, it is a product that is unlikely to become the new reference point for purists of the genre and will struggle just as much to involve that slice of the public not used to vertical scrolling shooters, due to intricate menus and a poorly calibrated and not very customizable difficulty level.

7.5 / 10.0 - Once Human
Jul 23, 2024

Once Human is certainly not a production of great originality and has a forgettable history. Fortunately, it is also a really enjoyable survival game, which can be played completely free. Unlike many other free to play productions, NetEase's is free of in-app purchases that speed up progression or facilitate the user, putting everyone on the same level. This factor, the accessibility of the experience and the absence of elements capable of generating frustration, make him one of the most interesting exponents of the genre seen in recent times. It will now be up to the developers to work hard to fix the problems and support Once Human with new content, even net of some questionable choices.

Zenless Zone Zero is an immediate and fun game, which manages to capture the user with an apt aesthetic profile and its combats full of spectacularity. Of course, someone will not appreciate the presence of puzzles or the absence of a component related to the exploration of more open maps, but we are talking about a solid production in any case, perfect to combine with free to play that require much more perseverance and commitment such as Genshin Impact.

Net of a forgettable story and a fluctuating art direction, The First Descendant is a solid and fun looter shooter, whose content is accessible to everyone, even those who don't want to spend a single penny.

For better or worse, there's nothing quite like Destiny 2, and The Final Shape has done nothing but remind us of that with great vehemence.

7 / 10.0 - XDefiant
May 30, 2024

If you're still wondering, the answer is no: XDefiant isn't the COD killer that many expected. The new free to play from Ubisoft is a good shooter, which certainly has the ability to entertain for a few hours, but which will hardly be able to impose itself on the market due to some problems related to balance and progression.

7.8 / 10.0 - Last Epoch

Last Epoch is truly the perfect middle ground between Diablo 4 and Path of Exile, but this feature is not enough to make it a masterpiece of action RPGs.

Ultimately, Stalker Legends of the Zone Trilogy is an unmissable collection only and exclusively for those players who do not have a PC to recover the three old glories or who, for some particular reason, absolutely want to play them (or replay them) with a controller.
