3.5 / 5.0 - Saturnalia
Nov 21, 2022

Saturnalia is a decent game. The clue board is something that many mystery games lack, giving this title an edge over others. And not having to run back and forth to re-acquire key items or clues is wonderful. Having a good memory will help with the gameplay, as usable items get shuffled back to their points of origin. If you’re down for a mystery title that is relatively short at six total hours of game time, this might be a great title for you.

Once you begin a thread in the Wayward Strand, you may want to follow. The people who you forge connections with will rely on you. And if you’re genuinely looking for a good cry. 3.5 / 5.0 - Townscaper
Oct 28, 2022

Townscaper VR is one of the first sandbox titles to appear on the Oculus Store. While there could be more to it, simply being in the marketplace is one step ahead of competitors. Despite feeling like it lacked a bit of content, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It still gives Meta Quest 2 users a rare treat.

Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate delivers a VR experience in a way that every new player hopes a game might. There’s nothing like walking through what’s essentially a dream world and talking to others. While VR controls in general are still being worked on, this title does well to make use of everything possible.

4.2 / 5.0 - Super Bullet Break
Aug 15, 2022

Super Bullet Break pits you as Akari, a young woman against an evil AI. Your saved game files are in danger of deletion. Will you be able to stop the Singulaladies from overwriting your files with their own? I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a frustrating ride. If you’ve something of a short fuse, it’d be best to avoid increasing your blood pressure with Super Bullet Break. If you’re really into uphill battles, this is certainly one that poses a challenge to anyone hard-headed enough to accept it.

While METAL MAX Xeno Reborn had its share of what I see as issues, it was still a reasonably good game. The gameplay is relatively smooth, and there were no hiccups. It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of anime-inspired titles.
