Frustrating controls, lack of detail in environment/character design, and the scarcity of useful items compound things into a less-than-stellar experience. I can’t say that this game has a very high replay value. But maybe it would be good for a person who likes the challenge of always having to return to a single save point. Other than that, I can’t recommend the game to anyone looking for a good story and gameplay because this title does not have either.
DayZ drops players into a zombie-infested former Soviet territory. Explore a desolate wasteland with virtually no human presence. But beware, enemies both living and dead may lurk around every corner.
I really wanted to enjoy Car Detailing Simulator to the fullest. While I feel like I developed a good understanding of the controls and what to do, the glitches forced me to exit and load back in a few times. It’s unfortunate because when the title did run smoothly, it was fantastic. There are a lot of ways the game can improve. As of now, the game does not feel finished, and it might not be. Their focus is likely to be on their other VR games. It is a good game if you can handle dealing with a 90% chance of running into glitches during your playthrough.
Magalan is an unforgiving world. But I have my fair share of help in Elex II. Only time will tell if it will be enough. Elex II continues the story of the former Alb, Jax. He must wage war against an extra-terrestrial threat. But the fragile alliances he'll form may end everyone before the threat does.
Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission VR is not a bad game. It is above average, but just barely. With a low replay value and lack of general features, a price tag of $24.99 feels very steep. Enemy units are engaging, and boss battles are fun enough. But there are only two game modes, and one is simply exhausting. Despite aesthetically pleasing graphics and the addition of voice lines, it feels empty. And the nostalgia factor is not enough to retain fans of the original game. Fingers crossed, the developers decide to add more content after some thorough discussion.

DreadOut 2 is short and can be completed in one short afternoon. It is great as its own thing, but in its current state, there is no way it can compete with more mainstream horror titles. Certain sections are frustrating, others are simply odd, and some can be downright scary. Many ‘nuh-uh’ moments can be found while playing. But as short as the game is, I am unsure if the content justifies the price.
How 2 Escape is a wild ride as far as mystery games go. Requiring the help of another person, according to L, is innovative, considering many titles in the same genre don’t do anything similar. Nothing about this game is easy, and that includes even the first car. Some of the clues are painfully obvious once they are revealed. Others, like me, may or may not find certain clues to be nothing more than reminders of what to do. If you’re a hardcore Sherlock Holmes fan, How 2 Escape is definitely up your alley.
Saturnalia is a decent game. The clue board is something that many mystery games lack, giving this title an edge over others. And not having to run back and forth to re-acquire key items or clues is wonderful. Having a good memory will help with the gameplay, as usable items get shuffled back to their points of origin. If you’re down for a mystery title that is relatively short at six total hours of game time, this might be a great title for you.
Townscaper VR is one of the first sandbox titles to appear on the Oculus Store. While there could be more to it, simply being in the marketplace is one step ahead of competitors. Despite feeling like it lacked a bit of content, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It still gives Meta Quest 2 users a rare treat.
Green Hell is a survival game set in the Amazon jungle. You must meet with a tribe and find clues to remember why you've come to them. What will you uncover as you stalk through the South American jungle?
The game is a genuinely fun experience. And like with most VR games today, it still has its share of glitches. There’s certainly frustrating but they aren’t so major that I will avoid coming back to The Signifier. As much as I gripe about the glitches, it is a genuinely good time playing. If you’re going to get into this game, you might want to dedicate a whole afternoon to playing.
While METAL MAX Xeno Reborn had its share of what I see as issues, it was still a reasonably good game. The gameplay is relatively smooth, and there were no hiccups. It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of anime-inspired titles.
The 7th Guest VR is relatively short when factoring in the puzzle solutions. As it can likely be completed in one afternoon, it would take someone with an inquisitive mind no time to find every clue they possibly can. If you are a fan of mysteries and ghost stories, this title is definitely worth a look.
Behind The Frame: The Finest Scenery VR is a genuinely pleasant experience that does not need to be played in a rush. I did miss the lack of voices during the 2D sequences. But that’s likely only because I’m so used to hearing something during the cinematic points in the game.
Homestead Arcana is a farming simulator at heart, inspired by the myths and legends of magic. If you’re looking for a magical challenge, running through the Miasma is certain to provide that thrill. It is a cute casual adventure RPG that is sure to keep any fan of anime entertained for hours.
PathCraft is a great game overall with a few minor flaws. Other than a few minor issues, there really isn’t much that I could say was bad about the game. It can be a bit frustrating at certain times, but that’s nothing taking a breath and stepping back wouldn’t solve. If you’re a fan of puzzle games and anything that leaves one scratching their head, you should check this out.
Once you begin a thread in the Wayward Strand, you may want to follow. The people who you forge connections with will rely on you. And if you’re genuinely looking for a good cry. Or you would like a game that’s got more of a story than “point and shoot”, Wayward Strand is a perfect choice to fill those spots.
One Hand Clapping is an interesting tool in teaching its audience to recognize musical notes. With simple gameplay and graphics, it makes learning about music both easy and fun.
Arizona Sunshine 2 is a great VR zombie shooter for those wanting an introduction to virtual zombie killing. There is plenty to do throughout the game when it comes to exploring. A mindful player can have a surplus of ammo, given the proper situations and how they are handled. Weapons come in enough variety that multiple combinations can be tested. Dual-wielding is probably the coolest part of the weapons system.
