PowerBeatsVR is a great game for fitness enthusiasts who want to constantly improve and humble themselves. With the ability to automatically map your own tracks and different environment settings, the game allows for high replayability. A bonus is the support for heart rate monitors. But if you're not a complete exercise enthusiast, the game itself isn't that much fun.

I Am Fish is not the cute, relaxing game it seems at first glance. It is a real crazy and fun challenge. Unfortunately, it can be frustrating at times. Still, it's a great game that you'll want to humble yourself with, and one that will take you an average of seven to nine hours to complete depending on your skill. If you want all the achievements, it'll be a lot more. Your experience will be elevated by the great visuals of the colourful fish world.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is a well-crafted story game with a dark and mythological touch. Your decisions really affect the survival or death of individual characters and the plot of the story. This adventure lasts around six hours, and you'll have to replay the story a few times if you want to explore other storylines. You can play through the game solo or with your friends, in both local and online co-op.

Freedom 1945: Liberation is loosely based on its predecessor Attentat 1942 and tells a simple story interwoven with historically accurate facts. Freedom is not quite a classic game, but an educational adventure that will draw you in and leave you wanting to know more. If you liked Attentat, don't hesitate to pick up Freedom. If you are new to Svoboda, definitely give it a try, if only because it is part of Czech history.

Although X4: Foundations is more accessible than X1-X3, it is not a game for casual gamers. You'll have to work hard to learn the mechanics that underpin Foundations, but if you put in the work, you'll be rewarded with an experience that can last well over 100 hours. Where most space games see you as a lonely soul in a single ship, X4 lets you create an empire. With an entire fleet under your control, you'll manage combat, material supply and market trading as you see fit.

Attentat 1942 introduces you to a specific period of our Czechoslovak history in a relatively non-violent way. You will learn basic and, if you are interested, advanced facts about the Second World War and the life of the people at the time, all wrapped up in an investigation of the events surrounding your grandfather's arrest. The gameplay isn't complex and don't expect any outright action here, but it's still a title you definitely shouldn't miss.

At its price point, Erica is a great cinematic story-driven game that you'll want to replay after the first playthrough. Sometimes you'll want to fill in information you didn't pick up on the first pass, while other times you'll want to know what would have happened if you'd chosen differently in key decisions. The replayability is also aided by the ability to earn all the achievements. For €10 a really great portion of fun.

With a different developer, Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain brings a lot of new elements to the series that can revive or break a certain nostalgia and familiar style of its veteran fans. Still, it's still a fun EDF-esque game and a great way for newbies to get their first taste of Earth Defense Force.

Apsulov: End of Gods is a very good second effort from the Angry Demon studio, in which you will immerse yourself in the mythological world of ancient gods and a futuristic environment with great visuals and an interesting story. However, this is not a pure scary horror movie as such, but rather a mysterious dark adventure.

Visage is a great debut for Sad Square Studio and certainly a decent testament to how to create a horror adventure. Despite its shortcomings, this is one of the best horror games that have recently appeared in the gaming environment. If you're a fan of digital horror and still have an open wound in your heart in the form of P.T., Visage is the experience you've been waiting for. If you have the courage for it.
