Eximius: Seize the Frontline attempts to implement some interesting ideas and design concepts. However, an array of technical problems and lack of polish hold back what could have been a great title. Perhaps with some more development time, Eximius can eventually fulfill its huge potential.
Amusing hybrid for FPS and RTS fans. It works well, however, only few players will stay and fight.

Despite my gripes about accessibility, the game delivers so many options regardless of whether players choose the role of Commander or Officer. Ultimately though, Eximius will most likely have a handful of hardcore fans to keep it alive, at best. Grading would be far higher if I could see potential for growth that would allow PvP to flourish. My advice, if you want to shoot stuff, stick to the Crucible.
"Audacity Worthy of Respect" Eximius: Seize the Frontline is a unique blend of tactics and action, demonstrating the ambition of an indie team striving to offer something different in a crowded arena. Despite AI issues and limited multiplayer activity, the game remains an exciting experience worth playing for fans of strategy and melee combat. If the team maintains its current level of support, Eximius has the potential to become one of the most exciting surprises in the indie gaming world.

The bursts of fun are weighed down by a small pool of visually bland and overly similar maps, a lack of any meaningful progression, clunky gunplay, and some serious balancing issues. For fans looking for a new game to blend FPS and RTS gameplay, Eximius: Seize the Frontline has some fun to offer. But for fans of just one of those genres, the mix will likely detract too much to be enjoyable.
Yes, Eximius is very ambitious, but it is unfinished and should still be in early access instead of selling $5 DLC packs. It needs a campaign, a clear explanation of its technology trees, and comprehensible AI for both teams. Eventually, this game might be something, but as it is right now, I can only advise you to watch and wait.
Eximius: Seize the Frontline is a rather hilarious hybrid of FPS/RTS genres that could be a great and very entertaining title. However, the game is reliant on other players, which unfortunately there aren't many of, as virtually no one plays the game. You may find yourself "spinning" around with a bunch of people over and over again.
