World End Economica ultimately stands out as a modern classic of the visual novel genre. But like classics, they’re not for everyone. Players might be put off by the first game, but anyone who has even an inkling of interest by the time the prologue is done would be well served to try and see it through.
World End Economica is written with great technique, and across the course of the trilogy it forms a true epic in structure and tone. It's really unfortunate that for a game with a lot to say it doesn't end up saying much, and I was left desperate for a character I could truly like as I played, but the strong, creative vision make this a visual novel that fans of good storytelling should add to their "to-do" lists.
WORLD END ECONOMiCA~complete~ follows a young boy, Kawaura “Hal” Yoshiharu, who has lofty goals and the ambition to use the stock market to meet them. As he connects with people will the ups and downs of moon colony life help or hinder his path?
