Critic Reviews for Flat Kingdom Paper's Cut Edition
If you enjoy platformers, Flat Kingdom Paper's Cut Edition is a good addition. It doesn't rank the highest on my list because of sensitive jump points which can oftentimes be frustrating. But when taken for what it is-a unique platformer with fun narrative and visual twists-it's worth the purchase.
Flat Kingdom may be a little clunky, sure, but it’s not broken – and if you’re a fan of simple side-scrolling platforming, you might find something to enjoy here. It’s not going to light your world on fire in any way, but there are certainly worse games out there.
Flat Kingdom is a 2.5D platformer and puzzle game. In this game you can transform into 3 different shapes: triangle, circle and square. With these forms you will have different abilities and ways to solve puzzles and fight against your enemies. It's fun to experiment and see what works best in what!

Flat Kingdom Paper's Cut Edition is a 2D platformer with a unique gameplay twist that makes the game feel new. Along with a vibrant papercraft look and a great soundtrack, this is a title worth checking out!
Flat Kingdom scores a positive pass for me mostly thanks to its original take on game design and appealing paper craft graphics which I have always been a sucker for. But the experience is crumpled with frustrating jumping controls and a pace that just went a little too slow and formulaic for me. Everything works here with no notable glitches. If you are looking for a new original platformer it’s worth a look, but for me it’s just a few pages short of greatness.
If you want a relaxing puzzle game or have younger kids then this is a great game for both purposes. I had a lot of fun with the game but it doesn’t take long to beat. It’s charming, it’s well put together and proves that good things can come in small packages.
It is a short and simple game, but the mechanics it offers the player are very original and interesting. The combination of powers to fight against enemies is brilliant in its simplicity.

Flat Kingdom knows how to catch with its paper-based aesthetics and attractive and charismatic character designs, as well as its platform gameplay with touches of backtracking, but the level design is quite flat and does not stand out for having an addictive gameplay.
