Critic Reviews for Lila's Sky Ark
Lila's Sky Ark looks and sounds terrific, and whilst pretty easy to complete, is a decent little diversion with some unique aspects that will provide a gentle and strange diversion from reality.
At first, Lila’s Sky Ark made me think I was getting sick of indies in this style in general, not just platformers. But the more I played it, I realized its weak opening was hiding a real gem. Once you dig into it, Lila’s Sky Ark is full of interesting characters, sweet story beats, and engaging gameplay.
A top-down fantasy adventure where you throw things at a limited range of monsters in a stiff world.
Lila's Sky Ark has an enjoyable gameplay, but it's about the only good aspect of the game, as the vague story didn't entice me to advance any further.
Lila's Sky Ark is a small metroidvania where the gameplay is simple, its story is complex and difficult to understand. As a highlight, the sound and visual section is wonderful. We are also facing a prequel, so if you liked Resolutiion, Lila's Sky Ark is more than recommended.

Lila’s Sky Ark is an amazing journey that brings Lila’s adventure on our Nintendo Switch. Its colorful world and cool gameplay combine for a great experience, ultimately brought down from excellence by the unsatisfying narrative, culminating in a subpar Epilogue

Lila’s Sky Ark was more creative than it was memorable. While you can beat the game in less than a dozen hours, you’ll probably spend more just trying to fulfill the final mission. And while I did enjoy wandering around this weird world, ultimately some bad combat decisions and a lack of balance hurt my immersion. If you’re a big fan of action adventure and like games just for the sake of weirdness, I’d still give this a shot. For everybody else, this probably isn’t your game.
A charming, if simple, Zelda-like full of pot throwing and weirdness, Lila’s Sky Ark will fill a few hours, but fails to really differentiate itself in a crowded modern market.
