Critic Reviews for Just Dance VR - Welcome to Dancity
What I really wanted to do (and loved) is dance in VR. Just Dance VR: Welcome to Dancity absolutely nails in this regard. I have no idea why Ubi took this long to release a virtual reality version of one of its most successful franchises. It’s a perfect fit for a portable VR system like the Quest. Even if the current selection of songs is admittedly sparse, it does cover a wide assortment of genres and styles.
I won't hide the fact that I had a great time with Just Dance VR. If it weren't for the fact that we dance all the songs solo, and we also get a rather poor library of songs, I would say that this is the best way to interact with this series of rhythm and dance games. The set of available songs is a thoughtful mix of the greatest hits, and the gameplay provides incredible pleasure and fun. This is a must-have title for Meta Quest headset owners.

Just Dance VR is a fun and accessible game for everyone that’s enjoyable and a good workout. The game offers a promising start to the franchise within VR, but there is definitely room for improvements. This is a good experience for newcomers to jump into. Compared to long-time fans who will enjoy it, but also wish for a larger setlist and more innovative features. For this reason I award Just Dance VR a Thumb Culture Silver Award
