This is not a game for all puzzle fans. If you are going to play this game, make sure the rogue-like randomization and potential for wasted runs and wasted time are not a deal-breaker for you. Fans of BP will tell you that you need to prioritize multiple things at
An amazing ride from start to finish. Every run is a revelation, whether it's 5 rooms or 45, a new room or a new tool will lead to clues for puzzles you may not have started, or ones you started 20 runs ago.
A really good puzzle game. The gameplay can be something that most of the people can't like at first (like me) but the game really shines after the middle part.
This might be my highest rating for a game I wouldn't recommend to people. Overall, Blue Prince is a brilliant idea with a lot of polish but ultimately one that fails to stick the landing because it's missing what I believe is essential to the mystery genre: Satisfaction.
The game never
I never felt the need to type down a review on a game, would it be good or negative, yet Blue Prince urges me to write one as it absolutely healed my bored brain.
As an avid escape games user, this was surprisingly new, fresh and captivating. Its atmosphere is
I loved the concept and the art. The vibe is great and those first 10 hours were genuinely exciting. But the randomness, which is core to the game, started to wear me down. Even with multiple goals/puzzles to figure out, it eventually felt repetitive. I just didn’t find the mystery
Blue Prince is an incredible blend of the Roguelike and Puzzle Genres. Whatever you are expecting going into this game is not what you will end up seeing. The depth of the storytelling only come out as you continue to further yourself in runs is an experience like no other.
One of the best puzzle roguelikes on the market. Tho I dont know how big that market actually is, regardless this game stands out and makes it hard to put down.
I am awful at puzzles and a lot of these stumped me, but I really enjoyed the concept and story!
Having a great run cut short by glitching through a wall and falling into the abyss, only for the game to say you have to "Fall it a day" is one of the most brutal things a game has ever done to me
Rolled credits around day 25. I kept poking
Best puzzle game I've ever played, and one of my favorite games of all time.
I absolutely love this game and really want it to be game of the year. As close to perfect as can be expected from a game like this. The only things preventing a 5/5 is the rng can be alittle much at times, and I wish the player would move
Amazing game that is hampered by RNG and some incredibly obtuse puzzles. Free on Xbox and PS so worth a try but tough to recommend if you have to buy.
Boring, redundant and random. The biggest part of gameplay is empty. There is nothing to read, no one to talk to. There is a huge lack of a good soundtrack,.
The puzzles are rare and too easy to solve.
Unfortunately, I can not give this game more stars. At first, you're absolutely blown away by the ideas and creativity of the puzzles. As someone who loves puzzle games, ranging back to the old Dracula games on PS1, I was ecstatic, not to mention the great rogue-like element to it.
A unique and awesomely distributed puzzle roguelike. I played this for over 60 hours and I would say the middle 40 were some of the best and most engaging puzzle gameplay I have ever been a part of. The game is not easy on the player or the player's mentality.
A puzzle game that blows Myst out of the water - and I really, really don't say that lightly. With a slow, curious start, Blue Prince quickly develops into a game that keeps you thinking about it whenever you're not playing it. I've found myself thinking over puzzles in the
An incredibly intelligent and addictive hands-off puzzle box of a game about paying close attention and making thoughtful decisions. The atmosphere is intoxicating and ominous. The game works all the way up until you figure out what to do, which is when the randomness starts to get in the way
