The game it self is good. Not bad neither is great, it has some flaws but it is going in the right direction for the series. I'm pleased with the Switch 2 version. I would recommend this one in the series to a long fan returning to the series one
There's a difference between enjoying a Pokémon game because it's good, and enjoying a Pokémon game because it's POKEMON. and I don't know what you all are smoking, but it's CLEARLY the latter because half the positive reviews I see are "haha cry about it nana-nana booboo."
You're not being
Lazy game. Cheap textures. Bad endgame. Lack of the rpg features present in other previous pokémon games. I felt like its a downgrade even compared to Scarlet (even scarlet is not that good).
Not a bad game. Smooth flow (on Switch 2), fun gameplay, and pretty good story. Personally love the new megas, but most are very hit or miss. The only critiques I have are the graphics, the character customization, and the game itself. The game is super flat and chunky,
This game honestly couldn't be much worse. This is one the most successful companies on the planet and they couldn't even be bothered to put the bare minimum amount of effort.
Underwhelming is the best word. The tiny map offers nothing to explore, every area looks identical so it is impossible to navigate without constantly checking the map. The wild areas are even worse, with some barely the size of a parking space. The graphics are atrocious. The story oscillates between
I never leave comments or ratings on literally anything. I made an account just to say how much I am disappointed in the Pokemon franchise, Nintendo, and gamefreak. Been a long time Pokemon fan since birth pretty much and to see the direction they are heading towards with such unfinished
Bland and lifeless, limited to a single city. Visuals/Graphics are flat, uninspired, feel low-effort for a modern $70 game. Specifically, many buildings and environments in Lumiose City (the game's main setting) lack detail, with things like windows and doors often being flat textures. The game "cuts corners" on graphical polish
While Pokémon has been one of my favorite games to play since I was a child playing Pokémon Gold on the Gameboy Color. I am torn by two things here. I’ll admit for years I’ve hoped that Pokémon would step up and update the game play mechanics, when it comes
This game was a disappointment after the long wait between the last game I expected more. The visuals are bad and the game performs poorly so it was a waste of 70$. This game is unoptimized and the gameplay is not fun anyways, I would recommend saving your money for
Whimsical and colorful. If you like pokemon you will find some enjoyment here, however you have to be blind to not see the glaring flaws and the missed potential, the sheer lazziness on display here if dumbfounding.
Music is Ok, repetitive but ok, nothing special, a downgrade since sword and shields
The only things I like:
about 30% of the new megas
the clothing options
EVERYTHING ELSE WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT
Such a disappointment to the IP. Don't fall into the nostalgia bait.
Great new battle system, good looking character models, awesome gameplay loop, cool new gameplay elements, nice story, many customization options, etc.
Just overall terrible quality, bad graphics, terrible designs, bad layout, no voice acting. All the effort went into a new combat mechanic that was just made to try and take some of the hype of one of their competitors. All this and they aren't tearing apart their competitors like "PocketPair"
barebones games, a complete disappointment.
I've seen better games made by kids, this is an insult to any and all of the pokemon fans arround the world
(Switch 2 version) I'm having a ton of fun with game and I can recommend it to people who like Pokemon (but in all honesty they'd probably get it anyway).
The graphics and performance are great, for a Pokémon game, however when compared to other games, like Breath of the Wild
Easily one of the worst Pokemon games ever, city is very small and poorly made. Most buildings are just painted blocks, stores have no inside areas, just menu. Arenas where you fight rouge mega pokemon are all flat areas with maybe a differnt texture. One could (with city being so
One City to explore and capture pokemon isn't enough to keep you from losing your mind. Think Pokemon meets Hunger Games and this is District 2 at best. You aren't allowed to leave just battle and train and forced into battles at night to continue the story.
The turn based
