Kamikaze Lassplanes

Critic Reviews for Kamikaze Lassplanes
Kamikaze Lassplanes makes its unusual mix of visual novel and shoot'em up its biggest selling point, but ends up suffering the consequences of trying to combine genres with such different rhythms. While its narrative has a strange premise that manages to hold up throughout the campaign, its action sequences start from a solid foundation without going much further, resulting in a touching and daring, but also inconsistent, work.

Whether you're in it for the story or just the shoot 'em up action via the super-fun arcade mode then you'll certainly dig Kamikaze Lassplanes. 🛩️
Kamikaze Lassplanes is a romantic ecchi-style visual novel with some action scenes in which our relationship with our companions/aircraft will be the main pillar of the story, in which our goal will be to defend ourselves from the enemy empire that wants to invade us.

As a whole then, Kamikaze Lassplanes is a game of two distinct halves: a romance-heavy narrative adventure, and a good scrolling shooter. Personally, I’d have preferred more of the latter than the former, but what’s here is decent enough to enjoy all round.
