Subnautica 2 Reviews
Even in Early Access, Subnautica 2 provides a great co-op survival experience perfect for a weekend getaway. KRAFTON did good on this one, seeing a bright future in Unknown Worlds' exotic alien world.
"A stunning return to the depths of the unknown" Subnautica 2 offers a highly ambitious survival and exploration experience, evolving rather than changing the series' identity. The world is more beautiful and terrifying, and the gameplay systems are deeper and more varied, especially with the DNA system and cooperative gameplay. Despite the limitations of the current content and some minor technical issues, it's a very strong foundation for a project poised to be one of the standout survival games of this generation.

Subnautica 2 is already a very polished early access game, but it is still very much unfinished. Depending on how you like to explore, what we have now gives about 10 to 20 hours of structured progression. That alone makes the current price point sensible for many players, especially since it's likely to go up as development continues.
Subnautica 2 is shaping up to be a very polished and memorable experience. The balance of survival mechanics, exploration, storytelling, and atmosphere is so damn effective throughout the adventure. Whether it's managing oxygen carefully in the early game or exploring volcanic regions in an advanced vehicle later on, the sense of discovery rarely fades.
