Quote not yet availableDIVE or DIE - Children of Rain may not have an overly complex story or complicated gameplay routine, but it doesn't need those features as it more than makes up for it with its enthralling, haunting, underwater atmosphere and gameplay loop that will constantly have players diving again and again as they attempt to find every biome and collectible.

Dive or Die isn’t a roguelike, but it does feature a similar addictive nature, as you always want do just one more dive. Drop Rate captures the tension of diving and ratchets it up with waters full of Lovecraftian horrors. From a studio of just three people, Dive or Die is a sublime diving experience. Dive or Die combines the excursion gameplay loop of Dave The Diver with the camp management of Darkest Dungeon and submerges it all in the Eldritch waters from Dredge, but still manages to feel like a novel experience. If you’re a fan or diving games, Dive or Die is a must.

DIVE or Die: Children of Rain is a unique and compact roguelike that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. The ominous setting is effectively conveyed through the music, visual style, and lack of light.

DIVE or DIE – Children of Rain nails the loneliness of its flooded world with remarkable confidence on a visual level. Sunken buildings, abandoned infrastructure and dimly lit ruins quietly tell the tale of a civilization that disappeared long before the player arrived. The destruction feels real because the places you’re destroying feel real, like they were once the sites of normal lives.

Dive or Die: Children of Rain blends survival, resource management and Lovecraftian horror into a tense underwater loop where every descent forces you to balance oxygen, risk and reward. Its difficulty can be intimidating, but the decision-making is highly addictive.

Dive or Die blends survival strategy, colony management, and underwater horror into a demanding but rewarding experience filled with creative threats, tense dives, and interesting resource systems. Its weaker visual variety, occasional unfairness, and frustrating randomness hold it back, but the strong atmosphere and engaging gameplay make each new attempt worth taking.
