Bubbly Basin is a charming, densely packed extension of Pokémon Pokopia that rewards returning players with more room to create. Its biggest limitation is that many of the game’s most meaningful improvements arrive through the free update instead.
Pokémon Pokopia just keeps getting better with the release of Bubbly Basin – the first of three DLC areas that has set an exceptional standard for those yet to be released. There’s lots to explore and more charming narrative content, as well as a strong selection of Pokémon to befriend. If you enjoyed Pokémon Pokopia’s base game, you’d be missing out by passing on Bubbly Basin, and I can’t wait to see what the next area is like.
A large additional town with a free update that allows players to dive underwater and utilise all the space down there as well. Anyone who loves Pokopia’s base game is going to be ecstatic to explore all of the additional content. With just the Bubbly Basin being released, the price point is very expensive; however, a second town is in the pipeline and an update that looks to add accessories to your town residents. I'm feeling very hopeful for the future of this expansion pass.
