Space Moth DX Reviews
Aside from its lack of powerups and bizarre premise, Space Moth DX is otherwise a pretty standard bullet hell game. This isn't really a negative or positive point, but should give you a pretty good idea if it's going to be worth your $7.
Visually surreal, [Space Moth DX] feels like the cover art of an Atari 2600 game brought to life
It would have perhaps been nice to see some discrete difficulty levels — and it definitely would have been great to see online leaderboards — but if you’re a shoot ’em up fan and you pick this one up, you’re going to have, if you’ll pardon the expression, a blast.
Space Moth Lunar Edition is a challenging shoot 'em up with a satisfying scoring system and that alone adds up to one must-have arcade shooter. However, its lack of multiplayer, extra modes, and power-ups makes it feel like a somewhat hollow experience.
All in all Space Moth: Lunar Edition is a big boy shooter in a budget package. It's a top-tier bullet hell experience for less than a trip to McDonald's. The only thing the game lacks is a difficulty mode choice for newcomers to the genre who want to work to that 1CC - That and online leaderboards. Aside from those, this is one bug you'll want to spare its life.
