PlayStation 4's finest gameplay experience is back with a vengeance with Resogun's Heroes DLC.
The Heroes content gives fans a reason to play Resogun again, but anyone who was ready to move on or didn't enjoy the game in the first place may not find it reason enough to come back.
Whether you want more of Resogun's arcade satisfaction or something experimental, Heroes has it. But if you're not excited for both, the DLC is a harder sell.
Resogun's still sensational at its core, and the Heroes expansion serves as a resplendent reminder of that. Survival strips the release's formula back to its very basics, prompting a punchier take on the title's score-based gameplay. Demolition, on the other hand, is a more considered addition, which fuses the best of pinball with Angry Birds and wraps it in a glistening intergalactic shell. Regardless of which you prefer, both options come highly recommended – and considering that you can play the entire affair as Buzz Lightyear these days, there's never been a better time to rekindle your addiction to PS4's best game.
Resogun Heroes expands upon the core game's already fantastic offerings with two highly enjoyable new modes that offer fans some interesting twists on Housemarque's side-scrolling PS4 shooter.
Resogun Heroes takes enough risks to be interesting, while not alienating those who've stuck with the game since launch. The two new modes have plenty of unique elements to be worth checking out, while still keeping your palms sweaty as you thread the needle through a swarm of ships.
