Critic Reviews for I Want To Be Human

It's unfunny, it's fiddly, it's aggravating, and most of all it's an assault on your senses – if there's anything that I Want to Be Human is rebelling against, it's your health. While developer Sinclair Strange has tried to carve out its own artistic style, it doesn't work at all, and the menial, tedious gameplay doesn't help either. This game may want to be human, but it sure isn't fit to be.

I Want To Be Human does little to match the great titles under its genre. There is an existing charm to the concept and art style, but fiddly controls and non-existent upgrades leave much to be desired.

A cumbersome, blood-soaked mess that does nothing new and little good.

I Want To Be Human isn’t really that good. The only fun thing about this game is how you execute your opponents with flashy moves. Other than that, I Want To Be Human is pretty much awful, not much to look into. To be brutally honest, this should’ve been posted as a free game rather than turning it into a $15 Steam entry.

It's hard to muster anything more than apathy towards a game which doesn't seem to care too much about itself. With basic mechanics and unfair challenges, I Want To Be Human requires some serious polish before it's worth a purchase.
