Resogun is free on PS+ and is that good, that you feel like you are ripping off Housemarque, that they should be getting your money for this. You shouldn't be playing this game for free! If you are one of the few who hasn't got PS+ you can still buy the game and trust us when we say £12.99 on Resogun is money better spent than on any other title at launch.

Resogun also falls a little short when it comes to a lack of variety. It's nice to have three ships but there are only five stages, and this – coupled with the basic nature of the gameplay – makes things feel somewhat repetitive. 'Resogun' was first out of the gate for the launch of the PlayStation 4, and there's a reason why Sony chose this downloadable title to be one of the first added to the PlayStation Plus Game Collection. Its impressive visuals, slickly smooth gameplay, and addictive score chase are a perfect match for the start of this new console generation. Resogun is a blissful reminder that no matter what system you play them on, sometimes the simple games are the best.

It's a great game that only really suffers from not featuring enough levels.
