Last Stitch Goodnight Reviews
I started Last Stitch Goodnight unimpressed with its attempts at humour but after four and a half hours of basic yet varied combat, unique boss battles and intriguing story, I finished with a much more positive outlook.
The concepts patched together in the narrative, the multitudes of cool monster designs, and the unique boss fights make Last Stitch Goodnight worthy of a jolt of electricity to the slab that is the PS4.
Having opened up this review with a clear split between good and bad indie games, it is perhaps inevitable that The Last Stitch Goodnight sits squarely between these two extremes.
Well Bred Rhino's quirky adventure offers an interesting concept but falls flat on the execution.
Last Stitch Goodnight carves out its own unique place in the metroidvania genre, largely thanks to its whimsical take on presentation, puzzle-solving, and narrative.
A game with lofty ambitions but none of the polish to reach them
The cartoony graphics are very minimalist, and the character and facial animations are similar to what you'd see in a cartoon. I found the characters to be full of personality, despite it being a 2D game. Last Stitch Goodnight is a fun game on PS4 where combat is a bit easy but the puzzles make it worth your time and money. Sure, it's not the best game on PS4, but it's a nice option to have available!
