Play Stikbold for a few hours and you'll still be doing exactly what you did at the start, exactly the same way, and while there's nothing offensive about that, it's also not particularly memorable.

While Stikbold is a worthwhile multiplayer experience, the cooperative adventure mode is what sets it apart from other multiplayer-focused titles. Players looking for a primarily single-player experience will be disappointed by the adventure's short length. However, those seeking a compact experience and a go-to party game for groups of multiple skill levels will find Stikbold up to the task

Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure Deluxe is a title that is quirky, if nothing else, and seems to pride itself on being silly fun.

For those in need of a quick fix with a group of friends, then you can’t go far wrong with Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure Deluxe. The story is funny, the animations of the characters are charming, and the basic gameplay system is on point. If you are playing alone, then you may not get a lot out of this title due to how short the story is and the lack of online multiplayer. You can play against bots I suppose, but nothing beats slamming the wind out of a friend’s stomach.

A high launch price and a lack of online multiplayer mar what is an otherwise enjoyable local multiplayer romp. If you have loads of friends locally then Stikbold – A Dodgeball Adventure is certain to bring laughs, at least until the next great local multiplayer game comes along.

Stikbold is a great party game, allowing six players to battle it out with simplistic controls that are accessible for all, regardless of age and gaming experience. The audio is superb, especially the music, and it has a coherent art direction. The game falls down a bit with a lacklustre story mode and character design, but most importantly the performance can be quite shaky. Overall you can't go wrong with Stikbold for a fun party game, though if you intend to play alone then there won't be much for you here.
