What a way to end the Little Nightmares saga! Tarsier Studios has taken its original fantastic experience, and split up the core concepts to craft some sublime DLC episodes, and this final one, The Residence, brings with it some real thrills and chills, whilst also delivering on the puzzles front. Admittedly shorter than the previous two, yet more satisfying overall, it leaves gamers thirsty for more, with an eventual sequel hoped for.

Those who've played the previous tales will find some value here but those hoping into The Residence without playing The Depths or The Hideaway will find it painfully short.

Awakening in the Lady’s private residence what seems like moments after The Hideaway ended, the Runaway kid is confronted with a Resident Evil-esque mansion filled with secret passages, trick rooms and ingenious puzzles intended to keep prying eyes away. Bathed in eerie shadows, the Lady’s library comes complete with tumbling piles of books, towering marble statues and shattered mirrors.

The Residence is an excellent final chapter of the Secrets of the Maw expansion that offers everything you'd expect. Entertaining gameplay, a chilling atmosphere and especially the end of the whole story of Little Nightmares.
