GoD Factory: Wingmen Reviews
GoD Factory: Wingmen may win the award for worst named game of 2014 thus far, but this naming blunder masks one of the smartest multiplayer team games of recent years. Layers of thoughtful design are married to tight, responsive, spontaneous space flight controls to make a four-versus-four online space shooter that's both thrilling and satisfying in equal measure.
GoD Factory is a technically competent and enjoyable blast created by a studio that have an obvious eye for detail. Ultimately though, it's a game that could have used a few more months in development to increase the launch content to a level which would have brought players back for more.
GoD Factory: Wingmen is a very welcome game to a genre that needed something like this to come along and bring out the love of space ship to ship battles again.
GoD Factory Wingmen is a game where accessibility comes easy but mastery does not. Yet, the innate thrill in approaching the latter proves to be its own reward over the long-term as Nine Dot Studios sophomore effort proves to be its best, ably injecting new life into the space combat genre with innovative features and a real, loving focus on multiplayer gameplay and tactics.
A nice little shooter that could be summed up in one word, "Meh".
GoD Factory: Wingmen was worth the wait: a hectic and tactical arcade space dogfighter that rewards close teamwork, clever customisation and daring zero-G manoeuvres. You can be my wingman any time.
GoD Factory: Wingmen is an absolute pleasure of a space shooter, in the shell of an arena game. Its easy to master controls and understandable customization designs are as complex as they are simple, all at once.
