Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Wizard Fire
Top Critic Average
A solid, if unspectacular, option for those looking to expand their range of arcade titles on their Switch library.
Not especially deep or complex, but Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Wizard Fire is simple, colourful and wonderfully nostalgic.
Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Wizard Fire is out now on the Nintendo Switch. If you liked Gate of Doom, then you definitely need to get this improved and enhanced sequel that will hit you with bags of nostalgia in one go. Are you up for the challenge of taking down Volov and save the world?
You're looking at 30-40 minutes of gameplay for this one, but you'll be enjoying every single one.
Wizard Fire is a promising classic isometric fantasy action RPG.
Wizard Fire is standard fare for the Johnny Turbo Arcade line, continuing the exact same traditions of not allowing for DIP Switch changes and button controls, while the game itself manages to be a fairly run of the mill sequel to Gate of Doom. While the voice acting is impressive for the time and by far the most memorable part of the game, the gameplay experience itself isn’t really anything to write home about.
