Critic Reviews for Pianista: The Legendary Virtuoso
There is a glut of rhythm games on the Switch already, but none of those subsequently inspired me to pull out my keyboard and brush up on some of the music that I've learned over the years. Pianista did, and while it might not encourage you to take up music lessons, at the very least you'll walk away from this with a better sense of "classical" music. That is something valuable.
Pianista is the music game equivalent of attending the opera. It may not be the most comfortable or novel environment, but if the content has been engrossing and inspiring people for centuries, then it must be doing something right.
Pianista has beautiful visuals and it's vast musical collection makes it an interesting title for lovers of rhythm games and classical music. The controls are the sole problem and it could be much better if it used the touchscreen.
