Paper Monsters Recut
There are many better indie games on the WiiU, don't waste your paper on this one.
Paper Monsters Recut is one such example of a graphically charming and long-lasting 2D platformer with 3D backgrounds and with simple and intuitive gameplay mechanics. Its difficulty level and soundtrack could use some improvements, which does not take any appeal away from this piece of gaming.

Mobot Studios clearly put a lot of effort into this title, adding a new overworld and several new levels. The use of a physical controller as opposed to an iOS touch-screen makes Paper Monsters Recut the definitive edition of the game; though Paper Monsters Recut does unfortunately falter a bit technically, this lovingly crafted platformer is a fine addition to the eShop.
By combining classic platforming with Wii U specific features like Off-TV play and beautiful graphics, Paper Monsters Recut manages to shake up the somewhat stagnant platforming scene by being just plain fun. The variety of the game is fantastic, and Mobot Studios did a great job with this title. Paper Monsters Recut deserves a spot on your Wii U hard-drive.
It's not the most innovative gaming experience out there, but the beautiful aesthetics and clever level designs really push the title to the top of its class in the eShop.
Paper Monsters Recut is a charming platformer that will put a smile on most gamers' faces.
