Gravity Badgers is a mess of a mobile game that has no business being on Steam. The art and music are piss-poor, the puzzle design — if you can even call it that — shows absolutely no thought and requires even less effort to solve and what little humor there is dries up almost immediately.

While the gameplay itself isn't really ground-breaking, Gravity Badgers is an entertaining physics-based puzzler with a rather unique theme. It has rather simplistic, unremarkable visuals, but with plenty of content and a fairly low asking price those are modest complaints. If you'd like to give your brain some exercise, you can definitely do a lot worse than this.

Lifeless, unpolished and uninspired. These are all words used to describe such a dull ripoff. This game gives badgers a bad name and, quite frankly, unlike the real creature, these badgers should be culled.

Gravity Badgers is full of good intentions. Its plentiful contents and interest mechanics have everything that would amount to a fun and compelling challenge…but its repetitiveness and exaggerated resource to those very same mechanics end up leaving the player weary and tired.

I desperately wanted Gravity Badgers to stand out as much as its title suggested, but it never really reaches takeoff. After ten minutes of play it's easy to feel like you're throwing badgers around without really thinking or caring any more; it simply doesn't put its own quirkiness to good use. Not a terrible cheap addition to your phone or Steam games list, but undoubtedly a missed opportunity.

Gravity Badgers had the potential to be a really fun game; unfortunately it is not. The lacklustre presentation, repetitive levels, and boxy sound make it difficult to enjoy for very long. It may be a fun time-waster at first, but once the player realises that everything there is to be seen has been seen, the game quickly loses any interesting factors it had going for it. If a physics-based puzzle game in the same vein as Gravity Badgers is really sought after, look to mobile and get Angry Birds: Space, which Gravity Badgers draws heavily from.

The concept of badgers in space suits fighting evil seems promising, but Gravity Badgers ends up being little more than a poor Angry Birds clone.

I hope that Gravity Badgers isn't trademarked, because it deserves a better game.

Gravity Badgers is Angry Birds: Space without the pigs.
