Borderlands: Game Of The Year Edition Reviews
Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is everything we love and hate about Borderlands republished for 2019. It looks the same and plays the same, the only real difference is addition of a few quality of life improvements. Is it good enough for you?

It’s not often games get a second shot at a Game of the Year Edition, but Borderlands 1 makes the most of it. If you’re getting swept up in the Borderlands 3 hype and have somehow never played the original, there’s never been a better time or opportunity to start.
There has never been a better time to experience the father of all looter-shooters
One wouldn't think you'd be venturing into the dystopian universe of Pandora ten years later. But, here we are, and still as enjoyable as the first time around. The ramped up resolution and increase in frame rate does the cel-shaded art style justice and makes the environmental artefacts pop. This is marred by some screen tearing when swivelling your view around quickly, but with everything happening on screen, you'd be hard pressed to find that a bug that will make the experience less enjoyable.
Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is a really great way to experience the game and this remaster hits all the marks I'd expect it to.
If you are returning for a second time the improvements are enough to warrant a second playthrough and if not, all new players will benefit from the quality of life improvements. It may feel a bit old in comparison to newer looter-shooters but its beautiful simplicity is what started it all. Its price tag is quite fair so I can recommend it to anyone who wants to loot or shoot stuff.
