This is objectively good game design, but it’s also desperately endearing.

Little Misfortune brings back all the dark visions from Fran Bow and it's another disturbing and fascinating adventure.

Little Misfortune manages to tell a dark story in a absurdly fun and mysterious way and it requires minimal contribution meanwhile. Just be aware that this is an interactive story telling, not a traditional adventure like Fran Bow and you won't be disappointed.

If you have a dark sense of humour then you'll enjoy your time with Little Misfortune's brief and unique campaign. Just don't expect to enjoy any sort of gameplay because aside from the odd interaction, there really isn't anything to do besides watch and laugh.

Little Misfortune is a game that is intended to shock the player. It starts early when the narrator informs the player that the girl at the center of the story is “going to die today.” The girl, Misfortune hears the narrator somehow, but the narrator quickly handwaves it away and starts to directly talk to Misfortune. From there the player takes control of Misfortune on her adventure.

Recommending Little Misfortune is complicated; it's a short title with limited gameplay and a bit of a price tag. But it is also a totally different product, with a quite different aesthetic and with a beautiful but macabre story. If you want something different I recommend you to at least try it, but I assure you that it is not a product for everyone.

A great narrative adventure that mixes innocence and obscenity with a masterful sense of humor.
