Critic Reviews for Galaxy Champions TV
As it stands, for a budget price, this is a still a slick little twin-stick shooter that nails the basics and is well worth your time if you're a fan of the genre.
Galaxy Champions T.V. may not be original or fresh, but it does get most things right and adds enough to make the game more compelling and does a fantastic job of updating a classic game. I had hours of fun with this game and the fact that it costs just $6.99 means that you’ll get plenty of bang for your buck.
Developped as a tribute of the arcade classic Smash TV, Galaxy Champions TV is quite enjoyable during the first hours. Unfortunately, the lack of variety really impregnates the game, resulting in the player to look away eventually.

Galaxy Champions TV is a twin stick shoot'em-up that follows the genre's classic conventions. With its fun gameplay and very well tuned controls, the game creates a good territory for itself on the Nintendo Switch. However, its difficulty level soars too quickly and without much balance, as Galaxy Champions TV becomes an almost merciless experience with barely an introduction, thus making the game rely too much on its frustrating elements for longevity's sake.

Galaxy Champions TV is a smooth shooting arcade game with satisfying gameplay and that itch to play more.
A Champions mode is also available that functions more or less like a simple score attack mode, but the online leaderboards of the Steam version don't seem to be in the Switch version. There are some pretty great twin-stick shooters already on the eShop that I can recommend to everyone, like Assault Android Cactus+. However, Galaxy Champions TV simply doesn't have enough big money and big prizes for me to love it.
If you have fond memories of Smash TV but no means to play it then you can certainly have some fun with Galaxy Champions TV.
Galaxy Champions TV is a decent little game, and an instant purchase for those who miss Smash TV. Otherwise, I feel like this is the sort of game perfectly suited to the Switch. Just something to play during your morning train ride. Simple, engaging for a short time, and rounds are over quickly.
