Critic Reviews for DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition
Distraint: Deluxe Edition is a short but marvelous experience. A disturbing plot, a nerve-wrecking environment, an enveloping soundtrack and a simple but straight-to-the-point gameplay, they all contribute to make Distraint on the Nintendo Switch a game that often feels more like a playable literary experience. No recommendation is emphatic enough for this gem, which unreservedly earned the right to be in the collection of every Switch player.

Distraint: Deluxe Edition is short and sweet. Unlike the story, which is gruesome and a bit psychotic. I liked the whole experience, but I would have loved a longer playthrough and some different outcomes for the ending.
DISTRAINT certainly seems to understand that the things that go bump in the night are less scary than the deep-rooted horrors that you can inflict on yourselves. This surreal-meets-the-mundane short story about a man's descent to metaphorical - and maybe literal - hell will keep you invested in the two and a half hours that the journey will last. Just don't expect any decent gameplay.
Distraction: Deluxe edition arrives at consoles and does it in the best way, with a new edition that fixes bugs and adds new ways to enjoy this game. It's a game that can be made a little short, but it's an intense journey into the heart of the greed and power hungry society of today. It deserves to be given a good chance.
